A renowned neuropsychologist and forensic psychologist, Dr. Trzasko spent more than four decades in his field before retiring in 2018. In addition to maintaining his own private practice in clinical psychology, he served as a staff psychologist at Saint Dominic's Intermediate Care Facility for the Developmentally Disabled in Blauvelt, New York. As a psychological evaluation specialist, Dr. Trzasko specialized in conducting forensic and neuro-psycho-educational evaluations and providing referrals that focused on diagnostically complex cases.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Trzasko was a full professor at Mercy College. He spent more than 35 years on campus before being recognized as a professor emeritus in 2008. Outside of his primary career endeavors, Dr. Trzasko served as a neuro-forensic psychologist on behalf of the Supervised Lifestyles Behavioral Health Clinic from 2002 to 2009, was chair of educational psychology for the CLEP Test Development Educational Testing Service between 1999 and 2003 and was a consulting psychologist for several other organizations headquartered in New York between 1982 and 2009.

As a scholar, Dr. Trzasko frequently conducted research. Dr. Trzasko was also a contributing author of "Working with Visually Impaired Young Children: A Curriculum Guide for Birth to 3 Year Olds" in 1992 and "Working with Visually Impaired Young Students: A Curriculum Guide for 3 to 5 Year Olds" in 1998.

Dr. Trzasko earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, at the University of New Hampshire in 1967. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, he notably volunteered and completed U.S. Air Force officer field training as a civilian during the summer of 1965. Dr. Trzasko subsequently received a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Vermont in 1969 and 1972, respectively. Additional educational pursuits to his credit include a professional qualification from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards, a license to practice psychology in the states of New York, New Jersey and New Hampshire, a license and board certification in psychology with a specialization in forensics and several other related certifications in his field. Dr. Trzasko also completed a postdoctoral internship at the Colorado State Home and Training School in 1980.

To remain aware of developments affecting his field, Dr. Trzasko is a member of the American Psychological Association and the American College of Forensic Examiners. Dr. Trzasko received a participation grant from the Educational Commission States/National Assessment Educational Process in 1976. Dr. Trzasko previously secured a fellowship through the National Defense Education Act to attend the University of Vermont between 1967 and 1969.
