She has spent her career coordinating business readiness activities across various teams, in multiple organizations, collaborating with other industry leaders to identify and mitigate gaps and risks, and, among other goals, has been influential in allowing for increased business growth. In addition to her ability to create efficiencies in the workplace, Ms. Gray contributes to process improvement opportunities and is knowledgeable regarding the various systems and technology that health plans utilize to manage daily operations. More recently, Ms. Gray also began serving on the Transformation Team for Boston Medical Center (Health Plan) where she has the opportunity to work cross-functionally and support multiple projects and work-streams simultaneously.
Aside from her recent contributions to Boston Medical Center, Ms. Gray has been an independent distributor and beauty consultant for SeneGence International since 2018 and recently became a certified health coach, leading her to launch her third small business venture, 5th Element Holistics LLC. During her previous employment, she notably spent over a decade with Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon (Cambia Health Solutions) between 2008 and 2020 where she worked her way from inbound call center representative to ultimately being promoted to serve as a process improvement consultant II in 2019. During this time, while working full time she completed her bachelor's degree and earned her MBA. Ms. Gray also spent two subsequent years with a start-up health insurance company building out their health plan operations and providing internal consulting, deep industry subject matter expertise and supplier management.
Grateful to the many mentors for guiding her throughout her professional journey, Ms. Gray notes one of her supervisors, Dale Eckert for recognizing her technical skills and influencing her decision to obtain an undergraduate degree in information technology management. With too many names to mention, she notes that almost every leader she has worked under supported her continued growth at work and in her personal life as well.
Ms. Gray received an Associate Degree in language and literature from Pierce College in 2006. She attained a Bachelor of Science in information technology project management in 2016 and a Master of Business Administration in 2019 from Western Governors University. Ms. Gray received certification in foundations of leadership I and II through the National Society of Leadership and Success in 2022. She is also a certified health coach through the International Association of Health Coaches and a certified health and wellness coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Furthermore, she holds CompTIA Project and CompTIA A+ certification through CompTIA.
Ms. Gray is a prominent member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. She volunteers with her local Rotary Club, is on her town's historical building committee, and is very passionate about local food, local food production, and local small businesses. She enjoys gardening and hiking with her dog Sam, and wants to encourage everyone to build fun back into their everyday lives, at work and at home.
