Drawing on over two decades of expertise, Mr. Bey has found much success in the music industry. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he pursued an education at Kaiser College, where he obtained an Associate of Science in film and video. Mr. Bey subsequently began his career as a board operator at WPUL 1590 AM in 1994.
Following his involvement at Publix, Mr. Bey garnered expertise as a facility manager at the FM and AM station of Bethune-Cookman University from 2000 to 2011, where he hosted on-air shows and trained the students of the university on the aspects of music production and the functions of a switchboard. Since then, he has built a prolific career with an online radio station and, as of 2020, has served as the chief executive officer of Soul95.com, the first Moorish-American owned and operated radio station in the United States. In this capacity, he specializes in web design and the compilation of music shows, and is responsible for hosting the oldskool hip-hop and classic jam countdown. Well regarded for his contributions to the field, Mr. Bey has received the Massy Award from Bethune-Cookman University for three consecutive years.
In his career related endeavors, Mr. Bey has worked with such celebrities as Cuba Gooding Jr. in "Instinct," Adam Sandler in "The Waterboy," and Jonathan Taylor Thomas in "Walking Across Egypt." Among his professional accomplishments, he is most proud of his impact and training of the Bethune-Cookman University students and of their thriving careers in the music industry. He attributes much of his success to his love and passion for uplifting fallen humanity.
