Climate Change: An Inconvenient Deception -- Fossil Fuels are Green Energy!

Considering the enormous economic and national-security impact involved in the restriction of fossil fuel use, which is already resulting in collapsing governments and increasing poverty, it is time to take a serious look at why this is being done!

This article will explain based on long-held and recent scientific findings: (1) why fossil fuels are not causing global warming/climate change; (2) that fossil fuels are actually green energy that promote plant growth (not some toxic manmade substance) and; (3) that the carbon dioxide [CO2] emitted by fossil fuels is part of the healthy cycle of the Earth's ecosystem.

The truth is that CO2 is not a threat to mankind; in fact, it is an absolute necessity to all life on this planet. Quite simply, without CO2, life on Earth would come to a relatively sudden end.

The following data will explain the scientific reality and the convenient truth about "Climate Change."

It is important to realize that the theory of global warming/climate change is based on the concept that manmade CO2 emissions are causing the Earth to warm predominately due to fossil fuels, which, according to the climate-change theory, will soon cause an end to all mankind.

There are many factors that cause the global climate to change. One of the most impactful is the tilt of the Earth's axis, which was one of the key contributors to the Ice Age as well as a key contributor to the subsequent warming of the planet, although, for some reason, this influence is never even factored into to the global warming/climate change theoretical constructs. Nor is the fact that the simple planting of substantially more trees and other plants (aquatic and land-based) would drastically lessen CO2 in the atmosphere just as these plants so effectively do today and have done for many millions of years.

Additionally, in regard to trees and other plants' exceptional ability to consume CO2, in 2017, NOAA (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) published an article titled "Study: Global plant growth surging alongside carbon dioxide." The article reveals that research conducted by a NOAA scientist and a team of scientists from the University of California, Merced, determined that "as emissions of carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels have increased since the start of the 20th century, plants around the world are utilizing 30 percent more carbon dioxide (CO2), spurring plant growth." Accordingly, plants are already taking care of the problem of increasing levels of CO2 as a natural part of the Earth's ecosystem—and plants are growing larger, more abundant, and more efficient while doing so. In the simplest terms, CO2 is the equivalent of oxygen for plants and trees.

The truth is that CO2 is not only not a threat to mankind, but an absolute necessity to all life on this planet.

CO2 constitutes only 0.04 percent of the Earth's atmosphere. This tiny trace amount of CO2 is what creates the symbiotic relationship between animals and plants known as photosynthesis, which is where plants separate the one carbon atom and the two oxygen atoms from the CO2 molecule. Plants use some of the carbon atoms in CO2 for their own nutrition and then release the rest of the carbon to fertilize the soil. Concurrently, the plants release the oxygen atoms from the CO2 molecules into the atmosphere for animals to breathe (including human animals), which animals subsequently expel CO2 for the plants to absorb—and the process repeats itself ad infinitum; if it does not, life on Earth will come to a relatively sudden end.

Fossil Fuels are Green Energy

The reality is that fossil fuels are literally derived from green energy as they are all plant-based fuels. These plant-based fuels include oil, petroleum, natural gas, and coal—all of which come from prehistoric decomposed plants and animals.

Furthermore, as explained above, the more CO2 released into the atmosphere by fossil fuels, the more trees and other plants will grow, which, in turn, reduces the CO2 levels by converting CO2 into oxygen and other valuable nutrients while also providing the essential carbon to fertilize the soil. You want green energy: that's green energy!

The Environmental Harm caused by Supposed Green Energy

When people think of green energy, they generally think of predominately solar and wind. However, few people think about the environmental harm these energy sources cause as: (1) the large windmill and solar farms consume a great deal more of otherwise useable landmass compared to fossil fuels and, therefore, wind and solar often significantly disturb the regional ecosystems in which they are installed; (2) windmills kill up to a million or more birds a year; (3) solar panels also kill a large number of birds that misidentify the reflections from the large solar photovoltaic installations as being bodies of water, which causes these waterfowl to dive into the panels and die from traumatic injury; (4) photovoltaic cells are manufactured with a number of toxic substances—such as hydrogen fluoride, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, 1,1,1-trichloroethane, and acetone, gallium arsenide, cadmium-telluride, and copper-indium-gallium-diselenide; (5) the mining, manufacturing and replacing of solar panels and windmills requires a great deal of energy; (6) toxic materials such as lead, cadmium, and lithium used in the storage batteries for both solar and wind turbines are yet another serious problem as they can have fatal effects on humans and other animals, sometimes at very low doses; (7) according to the government website USGS.gov, "a key challenge facing the wind industry is the potential for turbines to adversely affect wild animals both directly, via collisions, as well as indirectly due to noise pollution, habitat loss, and reduced survival or reproduction." These unfortunate repercussions eliminate these animals from eating destructive insects, which otherwise would provide billions of dollars of economic benefits to the country's agricultural sector each year; (8) people living near these wind turbines have reported insomnia, anxiety attacks, confusion and depression and; (9) attempts to implement substantial solar and wind power have resulted in extreme financial pain and national security compromises around the globe.

In regard to nuclear power, which many claim to be green energy, this form of energy poses the potential devastating effects of a nuclear meltdown, as we have witnessed with Chernobyl, the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster, the Kyshtym Nuclear Disaster, and the nuclear incident on Three Mile Island. Future nuclear incidents could be far more devastating. In addition, something very few people ever discuss is the monumental amount of nuclear waste that is generated by nuclear energy plants.

The nuclear reactors in the United States alone, according to the DOE, produce over 2,000 metric tons of radioactive waste every year. In fact, more than 250,000 metric tons of highly-radioactive waste is currently sitting in storage containers around the world, with over 90,000 metric tons of this waste in the United States. This waste presents major risks to both human health and to the surrounding environment. Consequently, until we develop some form of cold fusion, this is not at all sustainable.

Four Final Thoughts to dispel other Popular Climate Misconceptions

While the Arctic ice has been lessening over the decades, the Antarctic ice has been increasing. According to a 2015 NASA article, satellite data demonstrate that the Antarctic ice sheet showed a net gain of 112 billion tons of ice every year from 1992 to 2001 and a net gain of 82 billion tons of ice per year between 2003 and 2008. Consequently, the Antarctic ice sheet is not disappearing. Of course, the rate of gain and loss will change with time as climate always does; however, it will not be due to the trace amounts of CO2 in our atmosphere.

Dispelling another climate fallacy, polar bears are not going extinct; in fact, they are growing substantially in numbers. When polar bears started being counted in the 1960s, there were around 10,000 polar bears. Currently, the number of polar bears is approximately 30,000. In other words, there are approximately 300 percent more polar bears now than there were in the 1960s.

Despite the media's claim that virtually all climate scientists believe in the theory of anthropogenic global warming, the fact is that a consortium of over 650 international climate-experts have offered testimony that contradict the global warming theory, which testimony has been recorded in a 2008 U.S. Senate report.

Accordingly, despite the insistence of a 16-year-old girl from Sweden in 2019, the world will not come to end in the next 8 years; unless, of course, we succeed in eliminating CO2 from our atmosphere.

Conclusion

The simple fact is that if CO2 was not in the atmosphere, there would soon be no oxygen and, consequently, all life on Earth would rapidly cease to exist. Plant life would also cease to exist without CO2 to nourish it. In other words, politically-demonized CO2 is actually the very foundation of all forms of life on Earth. Without CO2, there would be no animals, no plants, and no human beings; effectively, the planet would be a barren wasteland.

In summary, the more CO2 is emitted into the atmosphere, the more plants and trees grow. At the same time, these plants and trees become more efficient at consuming CO2 and, through the process of photosynthesis, produce more oxygen for animals to breathe. This is the global ecosystem that makes life on Earth possible as well as how the planet keeps CO2 in the right balance. CO2 is a life-sustaining nutrient for both plants and trees. Quite simply, there is no climate crisis. There is only a crisis of understanding or a deliberate distortion of scientifically-proven principles.
