Mr. Lukaszewski is an influential business owner, educator, advisor, speaker, author, and Public Relations practitioner who formed The Lukaszewski Group in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1978, specializing in helping leaders and their organizations prepare for, respond to, and recover from crisis. He is known as America's Crisis Guru® having assisted approximately 400 American and international organizations over the past few decades. An expert in his field, Mr. Lukaszewski assists companies that are confronting various forms of internal and external issues ranging from reputation threats and web-based attacks to ethics, integrity, and compliance problems, much of which often involves conflict, disputes, and civil and criminal litigation.

In addition to his full-time practitioner commitments, Mr. Lukaszewski lends his expertise on various professional committees at several universities. He was co-chairman of the community advisory committee for the MBA program in the School of Business at Metropolitan State University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, 2018-2020. Furthermore, Mr. Lukaszewski was a longtime practitioner advisor for Public Relations Review, a peer-reviewed academic journal, 1991-2008.

Among Mr. Lukaszewski's most notable roles, he was the founder and president of Media Information Systems Corporation (MISC), now called The Lukaszewski Group, in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1978, served as a partner at Chester Burger Company in New York City from 1986 to 1987, was senior vice president and director of executive communication programs for Georgeson and Company, Inc., New York, from 1987 to 1989, and was a civilian advisor (volunteer) to the U.S. Marine Corps from 1987 to 2009. He also enjoyed a rewarding career in academia as an adjunct associate professor of management and communications in the division of degree studies, marketing and management at New York University in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies from 1987 to 2009.

He and wife, Barbara Ann Bray Lukaszewski (1944-2019), founded The Lukaszewski Group in 1989 in White Plains, New York (1989-2010).

Serving his community through involvement with various civic organizations and activities, Mr. Lukaszewski was a founding member of the Soundview Author Summit and The Winston Churchill Center in the U.S. He was also very involved with Metropolitan State University, chairing the 2010 Venture Fund Drive, serving as a Foundation Trustee (1992-2003). He has been a special advisor to every Metropolitan State University President since its founding 50 years ago. Additionally, Mr. Lukaszewski was a member of the dean's advisory board at Western Connecticut State University in the Ancell School of Business. He also serves as a member of the Dean's Advisory Committee at the School of Business at Minnesota Metropolitan State University in Saint Paul, MN.

Widely published, Mr. Lukaszewski has authored numerous books, handbooks, videos, scholarly journals, monographs, book chapters, webinars, and public lectures on public relations practice and ethics and other topics. Among his books, he most recently co-authored "The Decency Code: The Leader's Path to Building Integrity and Trust" in 2020 with Steve Harrison through McGraw-Hill Education, the book serves as a guide for transforming and restoring the workplace with honest, ethical behavior.

Mr. Lukaszewski was born in Wisconsin. After high school, he studied at Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1974. To better support his illustrious career, Mr. Lukaszewski has been an active member of several prominent professional organizations, including ASIS International and its Crisis Management and Business Continuity Council. He was elected to the College of Fellows of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), whose board, in 2015, appointed him an Emeritus member of its Board of Ethics and Professional Standards (BEPS) where he has served for nearly 40 years. He is also accredited and a fellow of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and has served on its certification planning committee. He was a certified member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and a member of the Authors Guild.

Honored a multitude of times by business leaders, companies, colleges, and universities for his work in the field and as a Public Relations Educator, Mr. Lukaszewski received many honors from the PRSA, including the Donald G. Padilla Distinguished Practitioner Award, a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2013, and the John W. Hill Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. He is a member of the Rowan University Public Relations Hall of Fame and the PRSA Lloyd B. Dennis Distinguished Leadership Award. Trust Across America has conferred its Lifetime Achievement Award and nationally recognized his thought leadership in trustworthy business for many years. He was a Ben Bronstein Lecturer at Pennsylvania State University in 2013 and received the Drew Middleton Award for Distinguished Service in support of the U.S. Marine Corps E. Coast Command. For 7 years he was an instructor in the Marine Corps Brigadier General Selectees Orientation Conference (BGSOC) conducted at the Pentagon. Since 1992 he has authored 15 books, e-books, and manuals in his field of expertise.
