She earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from McLennan Community College in 2004. Following this accomplishment, she served as a registered nurse with Davita Dialysis from 2007 until 2010 and with Tarrant Dialysis from 1999 to 2007. She has also held various positions in healthcare, serving in the hospital setting as a medical-surgical and progressive nurse and a nurse manager for Fresenius home therapy department in Atlanta, GA, and home therapy nurse coordinator for Tarrant dialysis center from 2014-2016.
Following this, Mrs. Diama attained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2013. After graduating, she took a role as a home therapy nurse for Fresenius Medical Care and transitioned to a home therapy coordinator in 2014. To gain further expertise in her field, she later earned a Master of Science degree as a family nurse practitioner from Purdue University Global in 2021.
Since 2021, Mrs. Diama has served as the chief executive officer of Matelda Healthcare Services. In this capacity, she travels to patients' homes to provide skilled nursing care. Her company provides compassionate nursing care while helping clients and their families cope with their current situations. In doing this, they help their clients with light duties and companion care, which includes meal preparation, laundry, medication reminders, sitter if needed, wound care, blood pressure checks, diabetic care when needed, and physical therapy, etc. In addition, Matelda Healthcare Services has a trained and dedicated staff that will go to patients to provide care according to the patient's needs. All team members complete background checks upon hire. As part of her dedication to her field, she is a member of the American Nurses Association and the Texas Nurses Association. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Diama hopes to continue serving in her patients' homes and helping them stay in the privacy of their own homes, remain healthy, prevent hospitalization, and educate them on the best practices in health care.
