In 2010, Mr. Shenkin became the chairman of Fit for Life Inc., which was founded to provide alternative methods to treat mental health disorders. Mr. Shenkin has served on numerous for profit and non-profit Boards of Directors and Advisors.
Before his current position as a business owner, Mr. Shenkin served as a certified public accountant for Ernst and Young from 1986 to 1989 until becoming a shareholder with Shenkin Kurtz Baker and Co. in 1989, where he remained until 1997. He subsequently acquired a role as a national outsource partner for Century Business Services Inc. in 1998 until he founded CeFO Inc. in 2000.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Shenkin completed coursework at Jacksonville University between 1977 and 1978 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in jazz piano performance from Florida Atlantic University in 1981. He subsequently attained a Master in Accounting from the same institution in 1989. He is a certified public accountant with the Colorado Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a certified information technology professional.
To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Shenkin was listed on Denver's Top 40 Under 40 Business People in the Denver Business Journal in 1999. He was subsequently named CEO of the Year in the United States by Business News in 2018. Looking toward the future, Mr. Shenkin intends to expand his practice.
