Mayor Bianco's career has been built upon her desire to assist others through public service. She strives to give back for all she has been given. After serving as a teacher for 19 years, she was elected to lead the city of Dalworthington Gardens in 2018, at which point she became determined to transform the city into a desirable destination for businesses that fit the culture of the community. Mayor Bianco relocated to Dalworthington Gardens with her husband and daughter in 2009. She ran for the mayoral seat at the suggestion of the previous mayor, who was surrendering the position to campaign for a role as part of the judiciary system. Despite the fact she did not have prior experience in government, Mayor Bianco seized the opportunity to work on behalf of the community, and she went on to win the election. She is now serving her third term.
One of Mayor Bianco's most notable career achievements is her work supporting the Salvation Army. Dalworthington Gardens is recognized consistently by the organization and has received the highest per capita award for donations in the North Texas region. Additionally, Mayor Bianco is on the Tarrant County Mayor's Council, which includes Fort Worth and Arlington; she will serve as the council president next year. She is an advisory board member for the Salvation Army and the Higher Education Servicing Cooperation.
Mayor Bianco holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in elementary education from Appalachian State University. Prior to her current role, Mayor Bianco served as a third-grade teacher at LJ Bell Elementary in North Carolina for six years. She then pursued an international teaching career at the American International School in Genoa, Italy, from 1992 to 1999. She taught for one year in Pittsburgh, PA, and finished her teaching career in Winston-Salem, NC where she taught academically gifted students. During her career, she received the Teacher of the Year Award from LJ Bell Elementary. She also received the Garden's Cross Award from the Department of Public Safety in Dalworthington Gardens for service in the community. Mayor Bianco serves on the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition. She also served as the President of the Citizens Public Safety Academy in Dalworthington Gardens.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Mayor Bianco enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Sabatino Bianco, and daughter, Emily. Her interests also include music and scuba diving.
