LEXINGTON, KY, September 23, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Six exemplary initiatives were chosen as recipients for the National Association of State Chief Administrators' (NASCA) 2022 Innovation in State Government Award to recognize state administrative department programs that exemplify best practices in operations and leadership.
Recipients were announced at NASCA's Award Ceremony held during the 2022 Institute on Management and Leadership in Scottsdale, Arizona on September 19, 2022. This marks the eighth consecutive year NASCA has honored outstanding achievements in the public sector through the awards program. The nominations are reviewed by experienced state Chief Administrators and subject-matter experts from the private sector based on innovation, ability to transfer or replicate the initiatives to other states and local governments, and efficiencies created.
The 2022 Award Recipients are:

"Each year NASCA recognizes the most innovative initiatives in state government operations and this year's recipients continue to showcase efficiencies that ultimately lead to better outcomes for citizens of the state," said Pam Goins, executive director of NASCA. "The programs exemplify increased productivity and reduced cost leading to overall economic growth."
Founded in 1976, the National Association of State Chief Administrators (NASCA), is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 association representing chief administrative officers (CAOs)—public officials in charge of departments that provide support services such as human resources, information technology, procurement, risk management and general administrative services to other state agencies. NASCA provides a forum for CAOs to exchange information and learn new ideas from each other and private sector partners. NASCA engages states in transforming government operations through the power of shared knowledge, operational excellence and thought leadership.
