Mr. Rush inspires hope to end homelessness as the president and chief executive officer of Star of Hope Mission

HOUSTON, TX, October 17, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Henry L. Rush Jr. has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Since 2008, Mr. Rush has been representing Star of Hope Mission as the organization's president and chief executive officer. Recognized as the largest Christ-centered provider of the homeless in the Houston area, the nonprofit organization serves over 1,000 homeless men, women and children each day in and around the surrounding community through its Extended Services, Men's Development Center and Women and Family Development Center at Star of Hope's Cornerstone Community®. These much-needed programs are instrumental in supporting instant and lasting independent living.

Mr. Rush has been instrumental in leading a $65 million capital campaign to support the organization's campus. Mr. Rush also took part in the establishment of Extended Services, which was formed in 2012 to provide continued support to previously homeless individuals and street homeless individuals.

Mr. Rush previously worked for three Fortune 500 companies and was responsible for two startups. Most notably, he served as the president of PropertyInfo Corporation, a Stewart Company, in Houston, an information technology services and consulting company that serves the real estate sector. Both companies notably ranked among Houston's Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies several times before he sold his interest in 2000 and 2004, respectively.

Grateful for the opportunity to represent Star of Hope Mission, Mr. Rush oversees it's "Vision 2030". This includes offering more services for the homeless population, including additional campus activities and community services, as well as broader services for its men's ministry. Hoping to inspire others through his work, Mr. Rush believes that everyone has the ability to make a difference by simply getting involved in their own communities and using their time and talents for the benefit of others.

Aside from his commitments with Star of Hope Mission, Mr. Rush served as the lead independent director of AmREIT Inc., a real estate investment trust, for nearly 10 years.
