CHICAGO, IL, October 26, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Antonina S. Lunetta, LCPC, NCC, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With over 11 years of excellence to her credit as a therapist, supervisor, and humanitarian advocate, Antonina is currently a supervising relationship therapist for Clarity Clinics in Chicago. Since 2011, she has focused her efforts on gaining knowledge, education, and experience in psychiatric pharmacological review, and therapy modalities like Infant Mental Health (IMH), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent Management Training of Oregon (PMTO), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychoanalytical theory, and The Gottman Method. She also utilizes her leadership skills daily by conducting supervised sessions and trainings for newer, pre-licensed clinicians.

Prior to her role with Clarity, Ms. Lunetta began her career as a therapist intern for the Central Michigan University's Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Clinic in 2011. She continued her career as a mental health counselor for the Chicago Children's Center for Behavioral Health (CCCBH) in 2015, and served as a bilingual clinical therapist for Ulrich Children's Advantage Network (UCAN) in 2016. In 2017, she moved to Michigan to earn distinction and training as an infant, child, and family therapist for Highfields Inc. In 2018, Antonina moved back to Chicago, and began a new role with AMITA Saint Mary and Saint Elizabeth Hospital, helping lead their children and adolescent units as a bilingual child, adolescent, and family therapist. She simultaneously became the Director of Clinical Outreach for Amalgam Holistic Care in 2021, where she also served as a bilingual clinical therapist.

Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Lunetta earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Spanish and Neuroscience at Central Michigan University in 2013. She went on to attain a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2017. Well qualified in her field, Ms. Lunetta has been certified as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and has obtained an Infant Mental Health Endorsement (IMH-E), to effectively work with the most vulnerable age group of children - pre-natal to 5 years old.

In recognition of her work, Ms. Lunetta won an award for her graduate school dissertation for her work with LGBTQIA+ youth. Furthermore, she was named as one of Chicago's Best LGBTQIA+ Therapists, one of Chicago's Best Couples Therapists, and one of Chicago's Best Children & Adolescent Therapists, all by Psychology Today.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Lunetta hopes to begin delivering short speaking engagements on mental health and healthy relationships at local middle and high schools. Antonina is passionate about educating children and teens about what healthy relationships look like, how to build and utilize their own critical thinking skills, teaching healthy communication techniques, and encouraging teens and pre-teens to make positive, healthy choices for themselves. Dedicated to helping others, her current goal is to hone her skills and continue her professional and personal growth through continuing education and clinical experience.

Ultimately, Antonina aims to continue expanding her therapeutic and educational reach to more people and populations. Later in life, Ms. Lunetta hopes to fight against the demoralizing systemic issues in her field, such as inaccessibility of health and mental health services, and a political climate that is increasingly for-profit, and decreasingly humanitarian (locally, federally, and globally). Each of these factors influence and exacerbate existing emotional problems at the individual and familial levels.
