First Responder Coaching Collaborates with the New Hampshire Fire Academy (NHFA) to Organize the Healing Through Trauma Conference

Leading providers of training options for first responders, First Responder Coaching (FRC), join forces with the New Hampshire Fire Academy (NHFA) to present Healing Through Trauma, a conference for first responders focusing on mental health.

Building lasting and profound bonds is the cornerstone of good mental health. Our coaching provides insight, education and concrete tools to use immediately.

WINCHENDON, MA, October 27, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- First responders can be rightly described as unsung heroes of the emergency services field, saving millions of lives yearly. Unfortunately, very little attention is paid to the wellness of these individuals and how they can help people deal with mental issues, which is where First Responder Coaching and the New Hampshire Fire Academy (NHFA) are looking to make a difference with Healing Through Trauma.

Healing Through Trauma Conference will be held on Friday, November 4th in Concord, NH, at the Fire Academy from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The event reiterates the commitment of First Responder Coaching to supporting these heroes and their families with a large focus on trauma and PTSD/PTSI. The goal of FRC, championed by founder Jennifer Anderson, is to educate as many first responders as possible (and their families) by working with departments to get them to a place of building resilience, as well as better responses to mental health issues among responders. FRC seeks to prepare incoming responders, while fortifying current ones, to the dangers of poor mental health.

The decision of FRC to partner with the New Hampshire Fire Academy is not at all surprising, considering their wide range of emergency expertise, such as hazardous material response, active shooter drills, firefighter survival, and aircraft emergencies. It will also enable participants to learn at the state-of-the-art aircraft rescue firefighting facility at NHFA.

In line with the goal of reaching as many first responders as possible, FRC has created department packages, enabling departments to purchase a package of coaching sessions to be used as needed among their responders. Consequently, departments can provide their staff of responders with coaching options for those individuals who may otherwise not have taken them, enabling easier access to coaching and ultimately creating more resilient departments overall.
