The 23rd Innovative Technology Show Ends Successfully… Seeking the Future of SMEs in the Digital Economy Era!

'The 23rd Innovative Technology Show' held to promote the technical innovation of SMEs throughout the year and to reward key contributors!



    LOS ANGELES, CA, November 02, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Young Lee) disclosed that they held Korea's biggest SME centered technology innovation event, the '23rd Innovative Technology Show (ITS 2022)', for 2 days between the 19th ~ 20th, at the conference room (4th floor) of COEX in Seoul.

The Innovative Technology Show was started in 2000 as an event to reward innovative contributors to the development of the nation's economy through technical innovation, and to inform the nation of the technical innovations and results of SMEs from the year.

Having its 23rd iteration this year, the Innovative Technology Show had the theme of 'Tech-Innovation, Talk to the Future!', and held various technical innovation related events.

Hosted and overseen by 7 organizations including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Innobiz Association, the occasion was composed of multiple events like the K-Innovation Company Showcase, Innovative Technology Seminar, key contributor awards, and overseas technology exchange. Current task that SMEs are dealing with, such as digital transformation and carbon neutrality, were proposed as agendas, and the direction that innovative tech SMEs in the digital economy era must go was discussed.

At the 'K-Innovation Company Showcase', there was a presentation of new technology and products of K-Innovation companies that were developed for the first time in Korea or was outstandingly innovative. Out of the 245 SMEs that applied, 10 companies that won out through a fierce competition of 24 to 1 were ultimately selected and showcased their new technology and products.

A total of 10 companies in Kanavi Mobility (scanning LiDAR sensor products), EVERCHEMTECH (eco-friendly material, NEXRIER), IntelliVIX (deep learning-based CCTV video analyzer), Jijun System (intelligent general parking management system), Secuworks (sound field security sensor), NES&TEC (multi-purpose drones), JPS (electric band for packaging steel products), Ison (drone charging station), SHENB (high-frequency energy utilizing medical devices), P&S Technology (food and beverage (PET bottle) defect inspection equipment) were ultimately selected for the showcase.

SINA (China), Vietnamplus (Vietnam), Lecafedugeek (France), Techno-edge (Japan), Ubergizmo (USA), AVING Global (Korea), and STARTUPWORLD.TECH (Europe) were some of the global media that attended as judges of the K-Innovation Company.

JPS, which introduced the core unit of steel packaging and bundling equipment, equivalent to the engine of a car, that automatically bands and binds steel products like steel coils and pipes, won the Grand Prize. EVERCHEMTECH, which showcased an environmental high-barrier film with higher oxygen barrier properties than existing high-barrier materials and high recyclability, and SHENB, which exhibited medical devices that use high-frequency energy to treat things like ptosis, blemishes, and acne, each won an Excellence Award.

At the 'Innovative Technology Seminar', there were lectures from experts and conferences centered around key topics (digital transformation, carbon-neutrality, technical talent training) which comprehensively reflected the government's policy direction and innovative technology SME policy demands.

On the second day on the 20th, key contributors who produced outstanding results and contributed to the development of the national economy with innovative technology were awarded by the Young Lee, the Minister of SMEs and Startups, at the 'Innovative Technology Contributors Award Ceremony'. A total 178 awards, orders of merit (2), medals (3), presidential citations (16), prime minister's citation (25), and minister's citations (132), were given out at the ceremony.

As additional events, there were programs like 'SME Internet-Based Resource Sharing (Cloud) Service Project Performance Diffusion Briefing Session, 'Regulation and Difficulty Improvement Forum', and 'Overseas Technology Exchange Seminar and Consultation'.
