Among his recent accomplishments, Mr. Zabban co-authored his first paper in 2018, 'Preliminary Experimental Investigation of the Combined Action of Wind and Waves on Coastal Structures,' which was presented at the International Conference on Natural Hazards and Infrastructure.
Prior to joining Enel Green Power, Mr. Zabban garnered experience as a construction intern for Pizzarotti/IBC in New York City in 2016. Mr. Zabban also worked as a research assistant for the University of Miami from 2017 to 2018 while pursuing his advanced degree.
Mr. Zabban received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in his home country of Italy at the University of Florence in 2015. After relocating to the U.S. in 2016, he earned a Master of Science in civil engineering at the University of Miami in 2017. Additionally, Mr. Zabban completed advanced graduate coursework in many areas of the industry, including structural analysis, fracture mechanics, the design of concrete structures, project management techniques, and foundation engineering. Well-qualified in the field, he has received credentials in construction through ClickSafety, certification in Autodesk Inc. education, and other credentials relative to his field, including building performance analysis, fundamentals of engineering in civil engineering, associate project management, and aan engineering project management certificate in mastering project complexity. Mr. Zabban is notably fluent in both English and Italian.
As a part of his ongoing professional commitments in the field, Mr. Zabban is a member of the Project Management Institute of Mass Bay. Mr. Zabban is also a student member of the American Institute of Steel Construction, the American Wood Council, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Concrete Institute.
Highlighting his achievements, Mr. Zabban was recognized with an Outstanding Graduating Graduate Student Award from the University of Miami. He also received a Merit and Productivity Reward from Rotary International in 2011.
