    HENRIETTA, NY, November 21, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Deborah C. Stamps, EdD, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After more than 30 years as an executive in the health care sector, Dr. Stamps established Deborah Stamps Consulting LLC in 2022 as the founder and chief executive officer. An inclusive leadership consulting agency that focuses on assisting individuals and corporations in their effort to promote health equality, eradicate health care disparities, and increase diversity, she offers her expertise so that her clients can achieve and sustain their overall impact in the workforce. Among an array of services, Dr. Stamps specializes in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice programming, as well as organizational leadership training, professional skills building, and more.

In addition to expanding her business, she aspires to have her company become a certified woman and minority-owned business.

Notably, Dr. Stamps was affiliated with Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, New York, from 1989 to 2022 where she continually advanced from licensed practical nurse to registered nurse to vice president and chief nursing officer to system safety president of quality, safety, and innovation, chief nursing education officer, inaugural chief diversity officer, executive vice president and founding president of Rochester General College of Health Careers. Her distinguished career with the health care facility also included sitting on various advisory committees and assessing nursing structures. During an earlier stage of her career, Dr. Stamps served as a licensed practical nurse, evening charge nurse, and shift team leader for several local health care organizations in Rochester, including the Rochester Psychiatric Center and the Westfall Health Care Center.

Outside of her primary career objectives, Dr. Stamps has been active as a principal investigator in her field where she concentrated on such topics as leadership style and nurse retention. Deb has published the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Procedure Manual, in scholarly, peer reviewed journals of in Medsurg Nursing Journal, the Critical Care Journal, Nurse Leader and Advances. Deb has published on the innovative collaborative nurse leadership model, the Chief Nursing Officer Council and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as well as workforce development. She has presented before numerous health care organizations, community organizations and at professional conferences.

Dr. Stamps was recently elected to the NYS board of nursing for a five-year term. She is a member of the AARP's Historically Black College and University's Learning Collaborative for Diversifying the Nursing Workforce, a subcommittee member for the ANA's National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing. American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) Workforce Committee, since 2022. Served as a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, American Association of Colleges of Nursing 2019 – 2022. Currently a Monroe Community College Foundation Board Member, 2019 – present and 2023 Gala Chair. Lending her time and expertise to her local community, Dr. Stamps has been serving as the board chair for the Genesee Valley Finger Lakes March of Dimes 2012 - , trustee and chair of the Genesee Baptist Church health ministry since 2012, and co-lead of the New York State Action Coalition Future of Nursing since 2011. Among other activities, Dr. Stamps has been a member on the advisory board for the Planned Parenthood of Syracuse and Rochester 2002 - 2006.

Highly educated, Dr. Stamps received an Associate of Applied Science in nursing at Monroe Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the State University of New York at Brockport, a Master of Science in nursing and a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner from Nazareth College, and a Doctor of Education from Saint John Fisher University. Additionally, Dr. Stamps secured several credentials in her field. She is a nationally certified nurse executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center, obtained certification as a practical nurse through the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center, earned an Executive Masters in Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology, and was awarded the Nursing Leaders of the Future Certificate through the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Stamps received the Phoenix Award is from the New York Organization for Nursing Leadership in September 2022. Also, in May of 2022 Dr. Stamps received the Women of Excellence, Circle of Excellence Award from the Rochester Business Journal. In 2021 Dr. Stamps was named among 50 of the nation's most influential diversity leaders receiving the prestigious Leadership Excellence Award at the 2021 National Diversity and Leadership Conference. Two Charter Schools recognized Dr. Stamps for her innovative opportunity to provide hands on skills lab for health careers with the University Preparatory Charter School, Woman of Substance Award, 2021 and Young Women's College Preparatory Community Leadership Award, 2019. SUNY Brockport College Alumni Association Hall of Heritage Distinguished Alumni Award, 2016. Dr. Stamps maintains membership with the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society and is a member and former northeast regional director of the Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc. Recognizing her accomplishments, she has been the recipient of several accolades, including a Leadership Award from the Ralph C. Wilson School of Education in 2011, a Sojourner Truth Award from the Genesee Valley chapter of the Negro Business and Professional Women's Club in 2010, a Leadership Award from the New York Organization of Nurse Executives in 2006, and a Nursing Administrator Award from Genesee Valley Nurses Association in 2003. Dr. Stamps also received recognition in the Monroe Community College Foundation's Alumni Hall of Fame in 2011 and, for her community involvement, was recognized with a Giving Back/Contributing to the Community Award from the Monroe Community College Alumni in 2008.
