Prior to his current role, Mr. Lopez began his professional career as a broker and franchise owner of RE/MAX Showcase West, serving the Sherburne County, Minnesota area. After the Real Estate crash in 2007 he took a position with Wyndham Vacation Ownership, where he started in sales and was promoted to the position of Senior Sales Manager, where he went on to earn many awards and accolades as a top Manager during the eight years he was with the company.
From humble beginnings, prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Lopez graduated from Anoka Technical College in 1991 and worked in the capacity of Journeyman Auto Technician as an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician and Drivability Diagnostician for Chevrolet in Rogers, Minnesota.
When discussing his journey, Lopez explains that his parents came here from Cuba in 1963 with only the shirt on their back, worked hard to make ends meet, learned the language, and put themselves through school and graduated with Technical Degrees. "Growing up poor watching my parents taking extra shifts, struggling to provide for us, I think it just motivated me to push hard, well outside of my comfort zone, to provide my kids the life that my parents risked everything to give us the opportunity for", explained Lopez.
Today Lopez owns and operates an award-winning nationwide Vacation Club with several offices serving the areas of Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head Island, Las Vegas, Sedona, Breckenridge, Orange Beach and Miramar Beach. His company serves roughly 5,000 families per year in those locations.
Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Lopez has been a multiple-time recipient of the President's Club Award from Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Inc. and was inducted to the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 1995. Under his leadership, Club Loco Vacation Club was awarded accreditation and received an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and received several awards from online business and travel magazines including, the Best USA and Caribbean Destination Management Company Hospitality Award from Lux Life Magazine in 2019. They have also been named Game Changer of the Year by ACQ5 Magazine in 2019 and Game Changer of the Year for the Americas by Game Changers Magazine in 2021, Game Changer of the Year for progress winner-Race, Culture and Equality for 2022.
