NASHVILLE, TN, January 25, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel A. Hatef, MD, has been recognized as a 2023 Castle Connolly Top Doctor — the third time he has received the prestigious Top Doctor honor. Only about 7 percent of the nation's licensed physicians are selected annually as Castle Connolly Top Doctors in their regions for their specialties.
Dr. Hatef is a well-known Nashville plastic surgeon who specializes in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery of the nose, face, breasts, and body. He performs a broad range of procedures — many minimally invasive or non-invasive — and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Hatef's guiding philosophy is his commitment to the finest results. He opened his boutique practice in 2015 in the heart of historic Belle Meade, and counts among his patients many of the country musicians who live in the area.
Dr. Hatef has special expertise in performing many types of rhinoplasty ("nose job") — both surgical and non-surgical — including functional rhinoplasty, ethnic rhinoplasty, cleft rhinoplasty, reconstructive rhinoplasty, rhinoplasty in vocal artists, and revision ("redo") rhinoplasty.
He performs face procedures that include face and brow lifts, neck rejuvenation, eyelid surgeries, fat transfer, chin augmentation, ear reshaping (otoplasty), reconstruction after skin cancer, and hair restoration. He also offers botulinum injections to treat migraine.
Dr. Hatef performs breast and body procedures that include breast augmentation, lifts, and reductions; abdominoplasty ("tummy tuck") "mommy makeovers"; buttock augmentation; liposuction; hand rejuvenation; genital rejuvenation; and revision surgeries.
He offers many types of non-surgical treatments, as well. These include dermal fillers, neuromodulator (botulinum) injections, laser hair and vein removal, intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy ("photofacial"), laser skin resurfacing, and microneedling.
Dr. Hatef has served since 2016 as a clinical associate professor of plastic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He is affiliated with five hospitals in and around Nashville: TriStar Centennial, St. Thomas West Surgicare, TriStar Horizon, TriStar Summit, and TriStar Hendersonville.
Dr. Hatef spends a great deal of time both inside and outside the operating room trying to ensure the finest results for his patients.
"Plastic surgery is not only my career — it is also my passion. I spend a great deal of time reading and participating in continuing medical education, and visiting the best of the best around the world to learn the latest techniques and innovations," Dr. Hatef says. "In the operating room, I am never in a rush, and I always take the time needed to get the best result."
Top Doctors are nominated by peer physicians and selected by the physician-led Castle Connolly research team.
"I am honored to have been nominated by my peers as one of the top plastic surgeons in the country for a third time," Dr. Hatef says. "Castle Connolly has a long and storied history of honoring doctors, and it is my pleasure to receive this award, and my duty to live up to it."
Dr. Hatef earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed a six-year plastic surgery residency at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center, a three-year plastic surgery fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a one-year fellowship in craniofacial and maxillofacial surgery at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Medical Center.
