A family legacy in computer technology prompted Mr. Zhao to pursue his professional ambitions accordingly. Drawing inspiration from his father, he cultivated an abiding fascination with computers as a youth, after which he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, graduating summa cum laude in 2006. While obtaining his specialized degree, Mr. Zhao exercised his entrepreneurial acumen to launch Zoftware Corporation during the dawning era of the internet.
Mr. Zhao brings important corporate credentials to his current appointment, including the label of a certified scrum master as granted by the Scrum Alliance. He is also wholly committed to civic service and remains actively involved in support of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County as a member of the organization's board of directors. Mr. Zhao's vision for the future includes a continued focus on opportunities to nurture the younger generation, especially as he persists in mentoring others as they seek to realize their own personal and professional objectives.
Despite his commitments to the community and his team, his wife and two children always come first. Whether it is running a local Girl Scout troop meeting, playing board games or experimenting with robotics, Mr. Zhao prioritizes his time with his children.
