Ms. Wilson began her career in safety in 2020, supporting businesses in their effort toward Covid-19 prevention in the workplace. Since then, she has focused on helping ensure the health and safety of employees. Additionally, she attributes her advancements as a Safety Professional to the community of which she is a part. Before her current role, Ms. Wilson began her career in operation leadership as a shift supervisor with Chick-fil-A of CFA Properties, Inc. She was promoted in her role at Chick-fil-A, CFA Properties, Inc. to the drive-thru director, overseeing operations in 2020 until shifting her career and becoming an environmental health and safety operations specialist with a local EHS consulting firm later that year.
Well-qualified in her field, Ms. Wilson holds certifications from the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP) as a Certified Safety Manager (CSM), and she is a Certified Electrical Safety Technician (CEST) recognized through the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA). Additionally, Ms. Wilson has completed numerous professional development courses and certifications. Some of Ms. Wilson's professional qualifications include OSHA 30 for General Industry and Construction, Fall Protection for the Competent Person, OSHA 40 HAZWOPER, Confined Space Supervisor, and Scaffolding for the Competent Person, among many others related to her work.
Within the coming years, Ms. Wilson intends to complete her accreditation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). She is also pursuing a bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety from Columbia Southern University. Her goal is to help develop the company she is working with presently and utilize her skills and knowledge to help her community.
