Having enjoyed a successful and diverse career in the health care, mental health care, and social work sectors for more than 15 years, Ms. Kuzman joined 4Front Strategic Partners LLC in 2021. Recognized as a health care reimbursement consulting firm, it provides consulting services to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries concerning the commercialization of new and innovative technologies. In her role, Ms. Kuzman assists clients with insurance to gain access to devices, medications, and biologics. She also responds to inquiries related to coding, denials, and appeals and, among other responsibilities, examines explanations of benefits and remittances to better understand patterns that medical professionals can use in their documentation so that health plans will favor a particular product or procedure.
Passionate about promoting mental wellness, Ms. Kuzman spent her earlier years as a student support counselor, intake counselor, school counselor, counselor assistant, staff therapist, and crisis clinician for various private organizations, schools, and health care facilities in California and Massachusetts. She also served as a social worker and adoption social worker for the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families in Salem from 2016 to 2021. Among her most notable roles, however, Ms. Kuzman had the opportunity to work at the Community Health for Asian Americans in Antioch, California, between 2013 and 2014 as a juvenile behavioral health collaborative counselor and subsequently as a clinical therapist. At a very influential time in her career, Ms. Kuzman found tremendous satisfaction in creating the Juvenile Behavioral Health Collaborative (JBHC) while working for the organization. The JBHC is a three-tiered behavioral health program that targets adolescents and substance abuse offenders and remains in existence today.
Aside from Ms. Kuzman's consulting work, she teaches vinyasa and restorative yoga, including prenatal, post-natal, and children's yoga, to clients virtually as the owner and founder of Kuzman's Korner since 2020. She has also been a children's yoga instructor at Life Time Inc. in Peabody, Massachusetts, since 2021.
Supporting various charitable organizations such as Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, Ms. Kuzman also volunteers at local homeless shelters and food pantries and participates in fundraising events. Moreover, Ms. Kuzman has provided her expertise as a volunteer grief and crisis line counselor on behalf of the Contra Costa Crisis Center from 2011 to 2012.
Highly educated, Ms. Kuzman received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in criminal justice from California State University in 2005, followed by a Master of Art in forensic psychology and a second Master of Art in counseling psychology from Argosy University in 2010 and 2012, respectively. She has also earned numerous credentials in the industry, including as a psychological first aid, as a licensed marriage and family therapist, and as a licensed social work associate. Additionally, Ms. Kuzman received several yoga credentials.
Highlighting her achievements, Ms. Kuzman has been the recipient of numerous internal awards from former employers throughout her career. She also received an award from the Massachusetts Resource Exchange for her work with children.
