ATHENS, GA, April 28, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Julia Davis Rhodes, RN, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Rhodes celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Now retired after four decades in health care, Ms. Rhodes reached the pinnacle of her career when she was named as the team leader of neurosurgery at Athens Regional Medical Center between 1985 and 2003. After her distinguished tenure at the hospital, she remained in the field for more than five years on a part-time basis as a nurse caring for Alzheimer's patients. She also served as a nursing service provider from 2006 to 2021.

Ms. Rhodes' lengthy profession in health care was very gratifying. She especially enjoyed being in the operating room and working alongside the physicians. Having worked most of her life, she was first recognized as an operating room nurse in 1964 at Piedmont Hospital before being acquired by Athens General as a registered nurse the following year. Ms. Rhodes subsequently spent more than five years as a registered nurse and assistant in the private sector for General Surgeon Dr. James Green from 1970 to 1976 and another near-decade as a registered nurse assistant in a surgical OBGYN setting between 1976 and 1985.

Learning the value of work ethic from her mother while coming of age, Ms. Rhodes was constantly inspired by her throughout her career. She also notes her husband's patience, understanding, and encouragement as she pursued her professional goals. Her lifelong dream to become a nurse also played a role in her success.

Ms. Rhodes is active in her church as a parishioner at Beech Haven Baptist Church. She also contributes to her community by donating to various local causes, including those that support paralyzed veterans. Moreover, Ms. Rhodes is avid about animal welfare. In particular, she helps organizations that care for the well-being of donkeys and dogs that have become heroes for assisting U.S. Army personnel.

Ms. Rhodes studied at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, receiving a nursing diploma in 1964. She subsequently received credentials as a registered nurse in 1965.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Rhodes plans to remain active in her church and serve her community to those needing her services and professional expertise.
