    BROOKLYN, NY, May 08, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Suzanne S. Robinson Davis, EdD, MPhil, MSc, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in public health, Dr. Robinson Davis has earned distinction as program director at the Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center in Brooklyn, New York. Between 2015 and 2018, and again since 2021, she has focused her efforts on helping to develop systems and create funding opportunities that enable the agency to expand outreach and services for the community to meet city, state and federal goals.

Also dedicated to civil advocacy, Dr. Robinson Davis is the co-leader of the Hepatitis C Advocacy Leadership organization in Brooklyn and serves as a director of the Jamaica Community of Positive Women. She also lent her expertise as a program coordinator for groundbreaking non-communicable diseases through the private partnership initiative of the Ministry of Health and Wellness in Kingston, Jamaica.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Robinson Davis began her career as a sociologist and assistant technical officer for the Ministry of Agriculture and Inter-American Development Bank in Kingston, Jamaica in 2002. She then served as a program manager for the Restorative Justice Centre in Pretoria, South Africa in 2009 until becoming the director of monitoring and evaluation for the Ministry of Health in Jamaica in 2011. Following this period, she was the program manager for HIV, JCV and community health with the Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center in 2015 and was promoted to the program director of community health and HIV prevention in 2017. She subsequently functioned as a consultant on data quality assessment and improvement coordinator for Caribbean Vulnerable Communities with the University of California San Francisco in 2019.

Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Robinson Davis earned a Bachelor of Science in sociology and law from the University of the West Indies in Cave Hill, Barbados in 2002 and a Master of Science in rural development from the University of London in the United Kingdom in 2007. Following these achievements, she underwent an internship as a project consultant with the International Labour Organization in Pretoria, South Africa in 2007 and attained a Master of Philosophy in HIV/AIDS management from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 2011. She subsequently gained a Doctor of Education in health and behavior studies from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2018.

Well-qualified in her field, Dr. Robinson Davis secured a post-masters advanced certificate in clinical practice with adolescents from the New York University Silver School of Social Work in 2015. The same year, she also attained a post-masters advanced certificate in LGBT+ health, education and social services from the New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development.

Within the coming years, Dr. Robinson Davis intends to mentor more agencies and help build their structures to provide better service to the community. She is passionate about increasing access to quality healthcare and bridging gaps to ensure health equity across the socio-economic and life spectrum.
