For more than 15 years, Mr. Sheldon has devoted his career to the solar industry. Since 2022, he has been the director of new business capabilities at Renu Energy Solutions in Charlotte, North Carolina. Leading special projects in his latest role, his efforts seek to expand opportunities that include business lines, product offerings, and sales and marketing channels. He also heads sales initiatives by purchasing and selling such products as solar power systems, energy storage systems, and electric vehicle chargers to residential and commercial consumers. Moreover, Mr. Sheldon works diligently to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with manufacturers, vendors, distributors, and finance companies.
Before earning his promotion at Renu, Mr. Sheldon was a business intelligence manager at his office from 2021 to 2022 and a business development manager between 2020 and 2021. He also started a business in Palo Alto, California, Sheldon's Solar Service LLC, in 2010 as the founder and chief executive officer, which merged with his more recent company, Red Ventures, in 2015. Red Ventures notably serves as a technology, information, and internet business in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Additionally, Mr. Sheldon found success as the founder and chief executive officer at iSolarReady and its registered trademark, SolarReady® Certified, between 2010 and 2015.
As Mr. Sheldon continues to advance in the industry, he strives to embrace the clean energy transformation that is currently underway. He also hopes to see most of the power from renewables and more onshore manufacturing.
Mr. Sheldon is active civically with The Salvation Army and Transformation Church. He is also a huge advocate for clean energy and solar products and has spoken publicly in the media about his concerns.
An alumnus of Florida International University, Mr. Sheldon received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2008. He remains a member of Phi Kappa Pi.
Mr. Sheldon's career has been greatly supported through memberships with several prominent professional organizations, including Emerging Green Builders, Sierra Club, and the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association.
Recognizing his professional accomplishments, Mr. Sheldon has been honored with a 40 Under 40 nomination. He attributes his success to his supportive parents and the many individuals that have inspired him and have shared similar ambitions and passions.
