Marquis Who's Who Honors Mary Louise Krenek with Inclusion in Who's Who in the World

Ms. Mary Louise Krenek is noted for her distinguished tenure in education, research, military, political science and history, and entrepreneurship.

EGYPT, TX, June 30, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to honor Mary Louise Krenek with inclusion in Who's Who in the World. An accomplished listee, Ms. Krenek celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Krenek was raised in the historical, farm and ranching community of Egypt, Texas in Wharton County, Texas. As a young person, she had to participate in many of the chores required of young people on the farm and ranch. She chopped cotton and corn and picked cotton from an early age. She also helped take care of the cattle and horses on the ranch and helped with the pecan crop during the fall and winter. The first school she attended was a one-room schoolhouse still in operation when she was five years old.

Having experienced the end of the era of the one-room schoolhouses to a modern day graduate level education, Ms. Krenek received her formative education in the Hungerford Independent School District System, where she attended The Presidential Classroom For Young Americans in 1970 as a senior. She received an Associate of Arts from Wharton County Junior College in 1972 where she was listed in Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges. This followed with a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A and I University in Corpus Christi, Texas with cum laude honors. Later, she received a Master of Arts in Political Science (International) from St. Mary's University at San Antonio. Ms. Krenek attended the Charles University's Summer Language Program for two summers in 1993-4 in Prague, Czech Republic. She received a certificate in the Czech Language. Ms. Krenek is also a certified secondary and elementary teacher in Texas. Her highest military education is the Command and General Staff College. She is also a graduate of Southwest School of Polygraph.

Ms. Krenek's significant international contributions have been as an "Independent Operative" in international politics for years with many contacts in various parts of the world primarily in Europe. The success of the Graduate Thesis, "Charter 77: The Struggle For Human Rights in Czechoslovakia" at St. Mary's in the eighties propelled Ms. Krenek to her future work on the international Level. This thesis, by the grace of God, became a very historical project because it served as closure to the life's work of the late Dr. Edward Taborsky who was the former private secretary to President Edward Benes during World War II. It was also a closure to a lifetime of work for the late Major General George S. Patton, the late General Alexander M. Haig, Jr. and the late General George S. Blanchard, Lieutenant General David Ott, and the late General Frederick J. Kroesen who were in her chain of command when she served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Nuremberg, Germany in the late seventies. Also included are all civilian leaders, military, political science, and history personnel, Americans, allies, and all peoples of the world who seek a more peaceful, just, and humane world. This international work has evolved into current support of the ongoing success of the International Criminal Court.

Education has remained a great part of Ms. Krenek's career. Currently, she serves as an all-level substitute teacher for the El Campo Independent School District since 2011. She has had tenure in substitute teaching and full-time teaching duties for over 25 years with the Wharton Independent School District, Houston Independent School District, San Antonio Independent School District, and the American Academy of Excellence. Ms. Krenek also gained experience in higher education as an instructor of government at Wharton County Junior College between 1996 and 1999.

Apart from teaching, Ms. Krenek has been the owner of Mary Lou Krenek Enterprises since 1981. Moreover, she has found success as an Independent Contractor of Market, Political, and Social Research in San Antonio and Houston since 1982, where she traveled to many parts of the USA conducting interviews with selected people. In an earlier stage of her career, Ms. Krenek was a Polygraph Examiner in San Antonio.

Civic duty has always been a large part of Ms. Krenek's life. She has served as secretary of the Egypt Plantation Museum, Inc. for numerous years where currently work is being done on several historical projects. She was a delegate to the Democratic State Convention twice and was a precinct chair for the Texas Democratic Party in Fort Bend County, Texas. In 1972, while as a delegate to the Texas Democratic Convention at 20, Ms. Krenek was elected to the Democratic Slate of Electors that year. This was a milestone in history due to the 26th Amendment to the Constitution ratified in 1971. Since 2016, she has been a member of the Republican Party. Most honorably, Ms. Krenek served in the military for more than 28 years, beginning on active duty as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps from 1975 to 1978 and continuing in the U.S. Army Reserves in various assignments until 2003 with retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel. Ms. Krenek has also been listed in Outstanding Young Women of America.

Among numerous professional memberships, Ms. Krenek has remained a member of the American Political Science Association, Pi Sigma Alpha, the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center, the Houston Czech Cultural Center, Wharton County Historical Museum, Wharton County Historical Commission, Texas Historical Commission, St. Mary's University Alumni Association, Reserve Officers Association, primarily serving as secretary to local state chapters, Retired Military Police Officers Association, American Legion, Catholic Daughters of America, and current Branch Secretary of Catholic Life Insurance.
