Diesel-Powered Engines Struggling Amidst Record-Breaking Texas Heat Wave

And there doesn't seem to be an end in sight, at least in the short term, as forecasts call for continuing temperatures at or above the 100 degree mark.

Bradshaw offers several tips for keeping your diesel-powered engine as cool as possible during the relentless heat of a Texas summer, particularly during especially brutal ones like the area is experiencing thus far in 2023.

This includes ensuring that you have the right kind of coolant in the engine, reducing friction by having your vehicle regularly maintained, and making certain that your car has an adequate amount of time to both warm up and cool down on days of especially hot temperatures.
