Ms. Nahila Ayeva, Public Health Educator and Analyst, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Womens Health First (WHF), a 501(c)3 US-based nonprofit-educational and humanitarian aid organization, incorporated in the State of Georgia since 2020.

WHF was established initially to address the community health concerns of the COVID-19 outbreak in vulnerable communities across Metro Atlanta. The Mission of Womens Health First, is to support humanity by promoting and improving women's health through education, advocacy and empowerment. Ms. Ayeva envisions a world where everyone has equitable access to reliable health information, resources, and basic needs. A world where women and girls thrive. Ms. Ayeva believes that, with access to information and fundamental needs such as Water Sanitation Hygiene (WASH), and nutrition, individuals will be able to make informed decisions that promote health and improve quality of life.

Ms. Ayeva has two decades of expertise in public health and nonprofit sectors. She specializes in health program planning and evaluation in the area of chronic diseases prevention, emerging infectious diseases, behavioral health, nutrition, and human development.

Ms. Ayeva is a skilled counselor, teacher, trainer, and coach able to inspire others. She is a lecturer for Islamic Approaches to Public Health Practice; and a skillful culturally sensitive and competent individual with the ability to work and provide services to racially and ethnically diverse groups with experience in coordinated controversial, unconventional, or novel public health-related issues between and among people, government agencies, and international agencies addressing public health problems and concerns. She is an excellent presenter and public speaker.

Ms. Ayeva, in her current role, is leading her local team in community outreach and health promotion initiatives in COVID-19 prevention and control efforts and has collaborated with CORE's (Community Organize Relief Efforts) team to coordinate the humanitarian response to the outbreak and provide vaccinations in underserved minority populations across Metro Atlanta.

Ms. Ayeva and her team have directly reached more than 5000 people in vulnerable immigrant, refugee, and Muslim communities with the COVID- 19 prevention messaging through WhatsApp Groups, Facebook, YouTube, Podcast, and other social media platforms that she manages with accuracy and updated public health information.

Ms. Ayeva and her team provided more than 1500 people with free hot meals, facial masks, and home test kits at Masjid Al Momineen, Badrudeen and at nontraditional places, such as the African hair braiding salons and markets, as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ms. Ayeva also provides technical assistance, programmatic strategies, coalition building, and grant-writing support to other nonprofits and health agencies through consulting and training. Ms. Ayeva recently through Womens Health First, partnered with Refugee Women's Network to organize Clarkston Community Health Fair at Masjid Al-Momineen. Ms. Ayeva led the planning and implementation of this successful event with positive outcomes. Over 30 health agencies and business organizations participated and provided their services at no cost to the Clarkston community. Among them were Morehouse School of Medicine, Dekalb County Board of Health, ICNA Relief, Emory Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, CDC (Centers for Disease Control), Immigrant Refugee Migrant Health Branch, Georgia State University Prevention Research Center, and Easter Seals North Georgia, to name a few. Ms. Ayeva has the skills and expertise to help nonprofits, government, health agencies, schools, and commercial organizations identify gaps in their efforts and create measurable program impact on the communities they serve.

Furthermore, Ms. Ayeva is leading international clean water projects and providing technical and supervisory oversight to the project team, using specialized knowledge, and public health principles to address and provide solutions to administrative and programmatic problems.

Ms. Ayeva is instrumental in her vision of clean water being easily accessible to women and families across Sub Saharan Africa through water wells. She is dedicated to alleviating the burden of women and children walking long miles to fetch unsafe contaminated water, a source of water-borne diseases for their families in rural Africa; and to date, has raised over $40,000.00 through crowdfunding campaigns to drill 4 solar power system wells that are currently providing clean, safe drinking water and handwashing stations for over 5,000 indigenous women and families in rural Africa. Looking toward the future, Ms. Ayeva aims to secure additional partners and funding to support future efforts to expand clean water projects in many rural communities in Africa.

Ms. Ayeva formally led numerous health initiatives of the New York States Department of Health, and other health agencies, offering various expertise in public health, notably in maternal and child health promotion, with an emphasis on preventing infant and maternal morbidity and mortality.

Furthermore, as a government contractor, Ms. Ayeva provided analytical support to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Center for Environmental Health, Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry- ATSDR, Division of Health Assessment and Consultation-DHAC, Evaluation and Information Services Team, Center for Disease Control and Prevention-CDC, at their Headquarters here in Atlanta GA.

Ms. Ayeva is multilingual with the ability to speak French, English, Hausa, Mina, Ewe, Kotocoli and Tchamba, fluently. Her multilingual ability offers her a unique opportunity with her firm, as she writes and translates health literature to benefit immigrant and refugee communities across the nation and worldwide.

Ms. Ayeva supports our national effort to eliminate health disparities, by promoting health equity. By providing access to clean water to rural African communities, she also supports the United Nations (UN) efforts to eliminate global water crisis – one community at a time – as her organization, Womens Health First is addressing the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation for All).

Heavily engaged in civic initiatives, Ms. Ayeva has been serving as a public health volunteer for the CCBOH Emergency Preparedness and Response since 2013.

Aside from her vested interest in public health arenas, Ms. Ayeva is the managing director at NAC Fashions International in Riverdale, Georgia, a role she has held since 2010. In this capacity, she is tasked with formulating marketing strategies to help launch the company's various products and services. She has used the profit made to fund Women's Health First Clean Water Africa (CWA) projects in addition to crowdfunding campaigns.

Highly educated, Nahila Ayeva holds an Associate degree in Community and School Health Education from The Bronx Community College, Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education with a minor in Psychology from the City University of NY, and graduated with a Master's degree in Public Health Education and Promotion with honors from the City University of New York, Herbert Lehman, Graduate School of Health Science and Human Services. Nahila is Certified Health Education Specialist-CHES from The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing. She is also a Certified Lifestyle Change Coach and provides a yearlong CDC's National Diabetes Prevention Program through online distance learning platform, using CDC's proven curriculum. To remain aware of developments in her field, she is an active member of the Society for Public Health Education.

Ms. Ayeva aims, soon, to launch AYEVA Public Health Consulting (APHC) with a mission to provide customized innovative public health solutions to help non-profits, schools, governments, and other health agencies promote and improve public health interventions in underserved communities worldwide.
