AUSTIN, TX, October 21, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- K-Food Nation 2023 swept into the heart of Austin for the first time on Saturday, October 14, with an exceptional culinary celebration, showcasing the diverse flavors and cultural essence of Korean cuisine. It was a day of gastronomic delights and cultural enrichment, underscored by significant partnerships and the presence of many distinguished individuals.

Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT Center) set the tone with an introduction to the campaign for a Low Carbon Production during the welcoming remarks. This initiative promotes sustainable practices across the food sector, spanning from production to consumption, and was highlighted through an informative video presentation.

"There is no better place than Austin, known for embracing cultural diversity and taking a lead in environmental protection, to host an event that promotes Korean food culture and low-carbon production in food industry" said Choon-Jin Kim, CEO of aT Center.

Jacey Jetton, a prominent Texas State Representative, seized the moment to acknowledge the profound cultural significance of K-Food Supporters and K-Food Nation.

Amidst the lively gathering, the event witnessed a remarkable confluence of diverse individuals who radiated boundless enthusiasm. Notable figures included Austin City Councilman Ryan Alter and a zealous assembly of K-Food Supporters. Visionary CEO Jae Kim of Austin-based Korean Tex-Mex Chi'lantro, Lynn Miller, the beloved owner of local modern Korean favorite Oseyo, and Dean Jose Frade of The Culinary Institute of America San Antonio brought their culinary mastery to the event.

The climax of the event was the official unveiling of the 2023 K-Food Supporters Grand Ambassador, Jessie Orion Nelson. Following in the footsteps of the 2022 Grand Ambassador, Jheilyn Valenzuela, Jessie has embraced the mission of sharing the joys of K-Food, following the legacy of previous Grand Ambassadors – ordinary people actively participating in aT Center's promotion of Korean food and culture.

Beyond the festivities, it symbolized aT Center's steadfast, multifaceted campaign with a mission to introduce Korean food and culture with promotion of green food practices.
