Adam L. Bates Recognized by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Adam L. Bates has over 20 years of experience as a leader in the field of environmental health and safety



Mr. Bates was awarded the 2018 Rising Stars of Safety Award in the Top 40 Under 40 by the National Safety Council.

    FINDLAY, OH, November 14, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Adam L. Bates, MS, MBA, ASP, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Bates has an extensive background as a Global Executive Leader in Environmental, Health, Safety, Process Safety, Regulatory Compliance & Sustainability. Prior to starting in his career, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Findlay in 2003 and went on to first gain experience in his field by working at Honeywell International. Following a two-year period there, and the receipt of a Master's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety Management at his alma mater, he earned his Master of Business Administration degree in Organizational Leadership at the University of Findlay as well.

From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Bates ventured into the entrepreneurial sphere as the owner of Next Generation Enterprises, during which time he completed his MBA. He then joined Midway Products Group Inc as the Corporate Environmental Manager, where he stayed for nearly five years. His experience continued to grow; from 2012 to 2018, he took on the role of Global Director of Environmental, Health, Safety and Risk Management at Inteva Products for many years while then stepping into the position of Global Head of Health, Safety, and Security at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company back in Findlay Ohio.

For the past several years, Mr. Bates has continued to occupy high level executive leadership roles in his field, serving as the Senior Executive of Global Environmental, Health, Safety and Transportation Compliance at ServiceMaster Holdings based in Memphis Tennessee, while also venturing into the realm of higher education teaching. From 2020 to 2021, he served as an adjunct professor at Tiffin University before stepping into his position at Aurorium to lead all elements of Global Environmental, Health, Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Process Safety and Product Compliance. Along with his 20+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety Processes and Regulatory Compliance, Mr. Bates has also occupied several civically-geared positions.

From 2017 to 2021, Mr. Bates served as a delegate on the board of directors for the National Safety Council and, from 2018 to 2020, was the strategic planning committee chair for the young professionals' division as well. Mr. Bates has also been a member of the board of directors for A&C Enterprise Solutions LLC and is currently a member of the Advisory Board for Transformative Leadership and Design Thinking Program at Saint Joseph's College of Indiana. Furthermore, he has contributed several publications that have appeared on EHS Today, most recently "Names over Numbers" among others.

Moreover, Mr. Bates is the author of "Work Culture," which appeared in Authority Magazine in 2020. He has been recognized by EHS Today as one of the 50 people who most influenced EHS from 2014 to 2015 and was working with Inteva Products LLC when it was labeled as one of America's safest companies by EHS Today in 2014. For his contributions and work in his field, Mr. Bates was awarded the 2018 Rising Stars of Safety Award in the Top 40 Under 40 by the National Safety Council and holds membership with the American Society of Safety Professionals.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bates has achieved remarkable success as a result of his unwavering drive, infectious optimism, and exceptional leadership skills. When he first entered his profession, he was advised that as he progressed, he would come to realize just how small not only the world is but also the profession and he took this advice to heart, leading him to place great importance on networking as a means to expand his professional reach and influence.
