She is the owner of The Science of Beauty Medical Spa, a place where world class aesthetic procedures, advanced medical treatments, luxurious touches, and a boutique vibe - all incorporate to create one the most advanced, non-invasive, cosmetic medical practices in Northeast Tennessee. She leads a team of medical, laser, aesthetic, massage, and sales and business professionals since 2021.
She focuses her efforts on incorporating her expertise in medical and aesthetic services including: quick care visits, intravenous hydration, hormone replacement, weight loss management and laboratory testing, while incorporating anti-aging treatments including Botox, Dysport, injectable filler, laser treatments, facials and massage therapy. Additionally, she has continued to serve as a nurse practitioner with Ballad Health since 2014.
Ms. Jackson is a board-certified advanced practice nurse with the American Nurses Credentialing Center, licensed hairstylist and make-up artist with over 27 years in the industries. She obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from East Tennessee State University in 2001. She then attended and graduated from Kingsport Beauty School and worked as a licensed cosmetologist/make-up artist for eight years before she transitioned her craft to medicine.
During her transition, she worked as a certified nursing assistant and hairstylist at a Veterans Affairs led extended care facility while attending nursing school at King College. After graduating in 2011, she served as a registered nurse for Wellmont Holston Valley Level 1 Trauma Center until 2014 when she graduated Middle Tennessee State University with a Master's Degree in Nursing.
Ms. Jackson worked as a nurse practitioner for Northeast Tennessee Emergency Physicians, and Ballad Health Urgent Care beginning in 2014 and to this date she continues to practice urgent care medicine.
Among her medical accomplishments, she has received Customer Service Awards for providing exceptional patient care. Her business was named the Best Med Spa in Kingsport in 2022 and 2023 and she led her team to receive Kingsport's distinguished KOSBE award for small businesses in 2022.
She is a valued member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and serves as a Board Member for Jenny Lea Academy of Cosmetology. She has trained extensively and directly under some of the most distinguished medical and aesthetic providers both nationally and internationally. Amanda collaborates her artistic talents and her medical expertise in The Science of Beauty Medical Spa.
Within the coming years, Ms. Jackson intends to rebrand, rename and expand her practice (she will be looking for a new business name in the near future). She aims to continue to grow her practice to provide better outreach to community needs. In addition, she has deliberated the idea of developing a training center for medical and aesthetic professionals providing hands-on instruction and training.
