Over the years, she has also served as an independent Pruvit promoter and as a mental health therapist for New Directions Northwest. During the early stages of her career, Ms. Gestrin gained valuable expertise in counseling with All Seasons Mental Health and Methodist Counseling Center.
An expert in her field, Ms. Gestrin holds a play therapy certification and a Master of Arts in counseling psychology from Prescott College. Throughout her career, she has also become a functional medicine certified health coach through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, a licensed clinical professional counselor through the Idaho Board of Licensing, and a national board certified health and wellness coach. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Gestrin aligns herself with the American Play Therapy Association and various counseling organizations.
In conjunction with her counseling career, Ms. Gestrin has contributed to her community by providing a 3-hour workshop for industry professionals. Previously, she taught adaptive snow skiing to people with disabilities and volunteered at the local youth Christian Bible camp.
