He also found success at Reyco Granning Suspensions LLC in Mount Vernon, Missouri, for over a decade, beginning as a quality manager from 2008 to 2015, responsible for planning, directing, and leading the quality assurance for over 100 union employees, then as a supplier quality manager until 2018. Earlier in his career, Dr. Lee's other significant roles included serving as the vice president of quality at Jakel from 2006 to 2007 and as a Six Sigma manager at GKN Sinter Metals in Germantown, Wisconsin, between 2000 and 2005.
Dr. Lee's distinguished career in quality management began following his honorable service as an officer in a patriot unit of the U.S. Army from 1997 to 2000. Aside from his industry-related career opportunities, he garnered success in the classroom as an adjunct professor at the University of Central Missouri, Western Carolina University, and Drury University. He also taught at a local community college in its short-term training department. Dr. Lee has drawn immense satisfaction from being an educator and mentoring students toward success in their career goals.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Dr. Lee has made notable contributions to the field of quality management through speaking engagements and evaluations. He was a speaker at the 2011 World Conference on Quality and Improvement hosted by the American Society for Quality and addressed the MOKA chapter of the organization that same year. He also served as an evaluator for abstract submissions at the World Conference on Quality and Improvement twice, in 2013 and 2018. Furthermore, Dr. Lee became a well-written writer, contributing an article to the professional publication of the American Society for Quality called 'Under the Umbrella' and authoring a chapter in the 2023 book "Blockchain in Supply Chain Digital Transformation" via CRC Press. As he prepares for the future, Dr. Lee aims to become a TED Talks speaker, publish additional scholarly articles, and continue teaching and mentoring students across various educational institutions.
Dr. Lee's academic background is a testament to his dedication to continuous improvement and learning. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the College of the Ozarks in 1997, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2004, and a Doctor of Philosophy in technology management with an emphasis in quality systems from Indiana State University in 2021.
