Before joining EY as a consultant, he worked as an agile coach and consultant at Walt Disney World in 2017. His role was pivotal in helping the company adopt agile practices. From 2010 to 2017, Mr. Patel was the global program delivery director at Atex, managing profit and loss operations across various arms of the company, including advertising and content management. He managed global programs for Atex Media Command from 2001 to 2010, overseeing significant projects at notable newspapers and magazines. Mr. Patel's career also included tenure as a senior manager for strategic solutions planning and consulting at IBM from 2000 to 2001 and as a senior project manager at Moduslink Corporation (formerly Engage, a CMGI company) between 1998 and 2000.
Mr. Patel's distinguished career journey began with roles at Morgan Crucible, a regional research hospital, and Cybergraphics. He started as a systems analyst at British Telecommunications, where he first recognized the importance of tapping into others' passions to maximize their potential.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Patel enjoys being involved in various local and community causes and events. He has been a fundraising volunteer for the Suncoast Haven of Rest Rescue Mission since 2015, a pro bono mentor and coach for several individuals annually for career path and career advancement since 2016, and has served as a host and event organizer for several Meetup groups since 2017. Among other initiatives, Mr. Patel frequently volunteers for the American Diabetes Association, a local soup kitchen in Tampa, Florida, with Feeding America, and more.
Mr. Patel's professional success is rooted in his academic achievements. He earned a diploma in marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing, received a Bachelor of Science in biomedical electronics, with honors, from the University of Salford, a Master of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Strathclyde, and a Master of Business Administration in international business from Henley Business School Additionally, he holds a multitude of professional credentials through Scrum Alliance, ICAgile, and Scaled Agile Inc., and received designations from the Project Management Institute Inc. as a project management professional and Agile certified practitioner.
Mr. Patel remains a professional member of Scrum Alliance and Tampa Bay Agile. In light of his success, he was a four-time recipient of the Global Product Person of the Year.
