Previously, she served as a pastry cook at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa in Colorado, where she expanded her repertoire to include exquisite desserts and pastries. Mrs. Skipper's journey began with a cooking internship in Maine, where she laid the foundation for her professional growth in the culinary arts.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Skipper has been recognized for her exceptional contributions to the culinary field. Her restaurant is known for individualizing meals according to the customer's specific dietary needs, and has received numerous accolades, including Best Chowder in Jefferson County, WA for three years and Best Restaurant for two consecutive years. Mrs. Skipper's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management, with a major in Culinary Arts from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Manila, Philippines, which she earned in 2014. Her academic achievements have played a significant role in her professional success by providing her with a solid foundation in hospitality management. Inspired by her childhood experiences assisting her mother with cooking street foods in the Philippines, Mrs. Skipper was driven to pursue a career that would allow her to support her family while indulging her passion for food.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Mrs. Skipper is actively involved with several community organizations including many charitable contributions to the Maritime Scholarships Program, local Rotary club, Olympic Pride, two local school districts, and OLYCAP's program for adults with developmental disabilities. These engagements reflect her commitment to giving back to the community and fostering positive change.
Outside of work, Mrs. Skipper is married and the proud parent of two children. She has traveled extensively to over 25 countries and finds joy in researching and tasting food from different cultures.
