As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With a wealth of experience in marine engineering, leadership, and logistics management, Dr. Sorbello has made significant contributions as a program manager, senior engineer, and lead instructor for the Emprise Corporation, setting him apart from others in his field. Due to his vast engineering and training expertise, he also serves as a professor at Capella University, specializing in global supply chain management and the mentoring of PhD and DBA students working on their dissertations and final projects.

During the early stages of his career, Dr. Sorbello gained valuable expertise in the field of marine engineering while serving as a Chief Engineer and Port Engineer for the U.S. Department of the Navy's Military Sealift Command, then as a Chief Engineer and the first Chief of Fleet Maintenance and Logistics for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

An expert in his field, Dr. Sorbello holds a Bachelor of Science in marine engineering from the California State University Maritime Academy and a Master of Arts in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Subsequently, he expanded his professional knowledge by completing a Master's degree in philosophy and a PhD in management, specializing in leadership and organizational change, from Walden University.

Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Dr. Sorbello credits his success to his mentors, both afloat and ashore. Within the coming years, he intends to experience his career's continued growth and success.
