Subsequently, she was promoted to vice president of operations at the company's AMS Olive Branch, where she was responsible for overseeing operations at one of the company's critical facilities. Additionally, Mrs. May has been successful as the co-owner of Pickwick Elite Boat & RV Storage in Savanah, Tennessee, since 2022, which provides an array of enclosed units for rent.
Mrs. May's journey in the medical and safety fields is marked by a series of progressive leadership roles that showcase her expertise and dedication to quality and safety standards. From 2017 to 2021, she was the director of quality at Medical Machining Specialists (MMS), a company co-founded by her and her husband that specialized in manufacturing medical instrumentation for spinal surgeries. MMS was notably acquired by ARCH in late 2021. Previously, Mrs. May was employed by Medtronic as a senior environmental, health, and safety (EHS) specialist from 2006 to 2010, orthobiologics specialist between 2010 and 2012, and principal quality system specialist from 2012 to 2017. Earlier in her career, she was a safety and training manager at Quebecor World France, a safety and environmental manager at Mississippi Polymers, and the director of EHS at The Biltrite Corporation, where she gained foundational skills in managing environmental health and safety programs.
In preparation for her career, Mrs. May received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Faulkner University. She also received credentials as a certified tissue bank specialist through the American Association of Tissue Banks. This educational foundation, combined with her can-do attitude and willingness to embrace challenges, has been instrumental in her career achievements.
Looking toward the future, Mrs. May will retire from her full-time position at ARCH Medical Solutions in June 2024. Additionally, Mrs. May is pursuing a career in real estate where she is currently licensed in Tennessee and eventually Alabama and Mississippi. She also envisions continued success with Pickwick Elite Boat & RV Storage, which provides safe and secure storage facilities for her clients' valuables.
