SANTA BARBARA, CA, January 20, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rochelle Greenbaum, MA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Greenbaum is distinguished in speech pathology as the owner of Rochelle I. Greenbaum Speech and Language Pathologist since 1988. Her extensive expertise lies in empowering children through speech pathology and language facilitation and expansion strategies. She specializes in helping both younger and older children develop clear, articulate speech. She is also a Certified Orofacial Myologist and as such, she utilizes orofacial myofunctional therapy techniques to help patients establish the correct oral rest posture and swallowing patterns to help support orthodontic treatment success and address oral habits such as thumb sucking.

Below are some reviews from Shelley's YELP page:

"She is highly intuitive and uses her own methods to increase awareness, strength and ultimately articulation."

"Shelley uses very unique approaches I have never seen any other therapist use and they work ! She is fantastic!"

"Shelley's approach to therapy is very fun, child-led, and innovative. She has a knack for turning every moment into a learning opportunity, making each session both educational and entertaining. She comes prepared with a teaching agenda for every session but remains flexible, tailoring activities to my daughter's needs, interests, and energy levels. Beyond her professional expertise, Shelley's warmth and genuine care for her young clients are evident in every interaction. She also maintains open and clear communication with parents, keeping us informed about the progress and goals of each session. She has had an incredibly positive impact on my daughter's development, and for that, we are truly grateful."

"Shelley's program to help our daughter stop sucking her thumb after SIX years was incredible! It was a very detailed program that required follow through by the parents, child and therapist....and it absolutely worked. Her style is so refreshing and has a unique ability to speak to children with respect and curiosity. She also follows through on commitments to celebrate all the milestones along the way which made all the difference especially to a kid. My daughter felt so empowered and beyond stopping the daily habit, she seems more confident in many other areas of her life now too. I would recommend Shelley's program for anyone looking to remediate their child's thumb sucking habit."

"She is patient and very skilled at teaching children speech techniques."

"We saw Shelley regarding our daughter's frenectomy. Shelley's unique skillset, unbelievable patience, and dedication are remarkable. She showed our daughter lots of helpful tongue exercises, and continually worked with us to teach us how to do them properly. She never once made us feel guilty for not remembering how to do all the exercises. Yet at the same time, she's incredibly invested in our daughter's success and genuinely cares about her. We are so grateful for Shelley and highly recommend her!"

"Ms. Greenbaum is an amazing speech therapist, and an amazing person. She puts her whole heart into helping her patients build the confidence and skills they need to improve their speech. She goes much deeper and further than just speech pathology. She learns about their nature, their sense of humor, their likes and dislikes, and figures out how to connect with them. She goes above and beyond to use creative ways to achieve results with some of the more challenging communication problems. It's truly a gift she has. She has a gentle and patient soul and takes her time to touch their lives. She has made a huge impact to our family, and in all of her patients' lives."

Another patient indicated his pediatrician had referred his son to Shelley as a local SLP "Known for Breakthroughs".
