Mr. Oliver is renowned as a commercially focused business leader with extensive international expertise in Strategy, Change Management, Business Improvement and Leadership Development gained during a career spanning more than 30 years across the UK, Europe and the US. He is humbled to have made significant contributions to the field, particularly during his tenure as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Certified Aviation Services from 2020 to 2024, during which time he navigated the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis, implementing strategic frameworks that not only secured the company's future but also enabled it to substantially increase in value. This involved significant restructuring of the business including creation of the company's first ever apprenticeship scheme. The experience at Certified Aviation Services inspired him so much he documented it in a management book.

A love for all things aviation was ignited for Mr. Oliver during his time at boarding school in England, where he frequently flew home to Africa for holidays. Those early flights deepened his fascination, as he cherished time spent on the flight decks, absorbing every detail of the flight. Mr Oliver launched his career in 1990 with British Aerospace as a director within the commercial aircraft division selling the BAe146 regional jet across the world. In this time he advanced his management skills whilst working at different BAe sites in London, Manchester and Toulouse, collaborating with engineers and operational experts through 2002.

In 2002, Airbus welcomed Mr. Oliver as the Director of Customer Support, and over the subsequent nine years, he helped enhance client relations and support services across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. From 2013 to 2016, Mr. Oliver served as head of field service worldwide, further solidifying his international leadership credentials, and from 2016 to 2020, he was appointed as the senior vice president of Airbus in Washington DC where he led a team of 400. This involved a significant strategic reorganization to support the commencement of the Airbus services business where he showcased his exceptional leadership skills and commitment to excellence.

He also boasts solid academic credentials that include a Bachelor's degree, with Honors, from the University of Nottingham in 1988 and a Masters degree in aeronautics and aerospace technology from Cranfield University completed in 1989. Mr. Oliver maintains membership of the Royal Aeronautical Society and has been recognized as a sought after and engaging public speaker at industry events across the globe. Most recently he was keynote speaker on workforce engagement strategies at the African Aviation Conference.

Mr. Oliver is intent on giving back through civic engagement, and he has been involved in various initiatives as a board member and advisor during 2024. He also participated in fundraising efforts when he completed a 1000 kilometre rowing expedition on the Zambezi River for clean drinking water charities.

Having grown up in Zambia, Mr. Oliver cherishes his rich cultural heritage. He feels fortunate to have had inspiring mentors throughout his career, particularly in aviation, which he continues to view as a fulfilling journey. Looking toward the future, Mr. Oliver aims to motivate and empower the next generation of aviation professionals to meet the industry's workforce needs amidst the growing global demand for air traffic. He also hopes to instill in others his enthusiasm for all aspects of the industry which have rendered Mr. Oliver's work not just a profession but a true passion.
