SPOTSYLVANIA, VA, January 27, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rosemarie Walden Henry, MD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Henry is a distinguished pediatrician who dedicated 25 years to providing compassionate care to her patients at Kaiser Permanente before retiring in 2023. Her career was marked by her commitment to children's health and her ability to forge strong connections with the families she served. Her tenure at Kaiser Permanente was particularly fulfilling; she found great satisfaction in her daily interactions with patients and their families, which made her retirement a poignant moment for both her and those she cared for.

Prior to her retirement, Dr. Henry served as a pediatrician with the MidAtlantic Physician Medical Group at Kaiser Permanente from 2008 to 2023. Before this role, she worked part-time as a physician from 2006 to 2007. She also practiced alongside her husband at Dr. Nelson Kent Henry's private practice, where she further honed her skills in pediatrics. Additionally, Dr. Henry contributed her expertise to the National Health Services Corps/Covenant Health in Philadelphia for three years, where she began shaping her career in medicine.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Henry has been recognized as a four-time listee of Top Doctors from 2018 to 2023, an accolade that speaks to her excellence in pediatrics. Her professional affiliations include being a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Medical Association.

Building upon her professional achievements, Dr. Henry's educational background laid the foundation for her success. She completed a fellowship in ambulatory pediatrics and a residency in general pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine from 1976 to 1979. Dr. Henry previously earned a medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in 1976. She is board-certified in pediatrics and has received training in family therapy at the Child Guidance Resource Center in Philadelphia.

Dr. Henry attributes much of her success to the love and support of her husband, Nelson Kent Henry, whom she has known since they were both 12 years old. Despite facing challenges throughout her life, including coming from humble beginnings and dealing with family health issues, Dr. Henry's upbringing and the encouragement of her parents greatly influenced her personal and professional development.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Henry enjoys a rich personal life filled with various interests such as cooking, music, playing piano, reading, creative writing, and poetry. She is also a devoted mother to five children. Looking ahead, Dr. Henry is passionate about continuing to work with families and youth through teaching and mentoring roles--endeavors that will undoubtedly benefit future generations through her guidance and expertise.
