CHICAGO, IL, February 05, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lorell C. Marin, M.Ed, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Marin is a distinguished clinical social worker, educator, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in special education, neurodevelopmental support, and therapeutic intervention. As the founder and chief visionary officer of LEEP Forward in Chicago, she has dedicated her career to fostering inclusive, evidence-based programs that empower neurodiverse individuals to reach their fullest potential. Through her leadership, LEEP Forward provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary services for children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, ADHD, regulatory disorders, and sensory processing challenges.

In addition to leading LEEP Forward, Ms. Marin launched Quantum LEEP Academy in 2018, a groundbreaking initiative that integrates academics with therapeutic support, prioritizing social-emotional growth, and offering an innovative, relationship-based educational experience for neurodiverse learners. Ms. Marin has always envisioned that her services should be accessible to all families, regardless of income. To make this vision a reality she founded LEEP Beyond, NFP which raises funds and provides scholarships, ensuring that families can access the services that best meet their children's needs. This initiative further underscores her commitment to equity and inclusion in therapeutic and educational support.

Ms. Marin's career began in New Jersey as an autism classroom teacher before moving to Chicago, where she worked as an autism itinerant teacher with Chicago Public Schools from 2001 to 2003. Ms. Marin recognized a gap in services when children aged out of early intervention and founded LEEP Forward to fill this gap, providing a center that supports families by offering services in one place, reducing transitions, and increasing collaboration among providers. Recognizing the need for ongoing therapeutic support for her clients aging out early intervention, she transitioned to become a developmental therapist as well as immersed herself in DIR (Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship-Based) therapy studies, further enhancing her ability to provide comprehensive, child-centered interventions. She transitioned from education to clinical social work, earning her Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2015. This shift allowed her to bridge the gap between education and mental health services, ensuring that children receive comprehensive, developmentally appropriate interventions.

Believing that there is not just one approach, Ms. Marin continues to build her toolbox to help her clients by pursuing training in RDI (Relationship Development Intervention), SCERTS (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, and Transactional Support), NDBI (Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions), and SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests), eventually becoming a BCBA. This commitment to lifelong learning enhances her ability to provide the most effective, individualized interventions for her clients.

A respected expert in the field, Ms. Marin holds multiple professional credentials, including Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Developmental Therapist, DIR clinician and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She is known for her expertise in transdisciplinary collaboration, integrating speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and developmental support to create tailored, family-centered approaches for neurodiverse learners.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Marin remains an advocate for community inclusion and family support. She actively volunteers with numerous community organizations. Her contributions to the field have earned her recognition in Fortune 5000 by Fortune Magazine and she has received an award from ICIC Inner City Growth three years in a row and numerous business and leadership accolades.

Looking ahead, Ms. Marin is committed to expanding LEEP Forward's reach by developing leadership pathways within the organization, enhancing vocational training opportunities, and creating employment prospects for neurodiverse individuals as they transition into adulthood.

Her visionary approach continues to transform lives, fostering a future where every individual is empowered to thrive. Ms. Marin knows the value of teamwork and recognizes that she could not have accomplished all of this without the support of her family and a dedicated leadership team, whose collaboration and commitment have been instrumental in the success of her initiatives. Her visionary approach continues to transform lives, fostering a future where every individual is empowered to thrive.
