From 2019 to 2024, he was a client engagement executive at Accumen Inc. in Boise, Idaho, where he played a crucial role in overseeing national healthcare transformation efforts, particularly within clinical laboratory service lines. Mr. Stanger was also successful in driving measurable results as the laboratory operations excellence senior director for hospitals and health systems on the East Coast between 2017 and 2019, focusing on process improvement and operational excellence.
Mr. Stanger's journey into healthcare administration began with his role as a business process manager at Riverside Health System in Newport News, Virginia, from 2015 to 2017. During this time, he obtained his Lean Six Sigma certification and concentrated on refining processes for better efficiency specific to healthcare delivery. Mr. Stanger's earlier experience included working as a medical value implementation consultant at Capital BlueCross in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, between 2014 and 2015, where he was recognized with a Leadership Excellence Award for his contributions in quality outcome measurements.
In academia, Mr. Stanger served as a graduate teaching assistant at Pennsylvania State University from 2013 to 2014 while pursuing his master's degree in health administration. He also completed an administrative residency at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 2013, gaining valuable insights into quality programs and assurance. Mr. Stanger's initial foray into the field included roles such as performance improvement intern at Madison Memorial Hospital in 2011 and administrative intern at Seasons Medical in 2010. He serves as a bishop for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and supports various autism groups.
