After moving to Medford in the 1970s, he worked as a professional locksmith until 1984 before transitioning to an independent sales representative role. His expertise led him to Medeco Security Locks in 1991, where he served as national sales manager and later vice president of sales until 1999. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in expanding the company's market reach before it was acquired by a large conglomerate.

Following his time at Medeco, Mr. Dalessio held various outsourced leadership positions within the industry. From 2004 to 2007, he worked in organizational and business development at Intermountain Lock and Security Supply, followed by a similar role at Marks USA from 2007 to 2008. He served as general manager at GS Davidson Company in 2018. His contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades, including induction into the Locksmith Ledger Hall of Fame in 1995.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Dalessio is actively involved in industry organizations. He serves as president of the Massachusetts Locksmith Association and is an Associate Member of the Associated Locksmiths of America, now known as Association of Security Professionals. His commitment to advancing the field is further demonstrated through his co-authorship of publications such as "Competitive Advantage - Fixing Small Business Security and Safety Problems" and "Selling Security-Reactive Based Service to Proactive Marketing and Sales," both published in 2008.

Mr. Dalessio's educational background includes coursework in business administration and management at Medford High School in Medford, Massachusetts, attended Bunker Hill Community College, and many professional seminars and courses. He attributes much of his success to his positive attitude and self-described identity as a "possibilitarian," which has driven him to make things happen throughout his career. This mindset has been integral to his ability to navigate challenges and seize opportunities within the locksmith industry.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Dalessio cherishes spending time with his family, including eight children and eight grandchildren.
