LOS ANGELES, CA, April 16, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Utvich has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of their current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Utvich has established himself as a prominent figure in technology, innovation development, and business strategy. As president of Epsilon Interactive since 1995, he has provided strategic, communications, and innovation consulting services to help individuals and organizations articulate and enhance their value propositions and bring new ideas to market. His role involves examining the accomplishments of executives and professionals, exploring the deeper significance of their work, and conducting process evaluations to enhance operational methods. He is also a high technology and business book author who has worked with executives and innovators to develop their published properties.

Academically Mr. Utvich holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science with a minor in Art History from the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating in 1972. His academic background laid the foundation for his diverse career path and success. Influenced by his father's insights into corporate integrity and passion-driven pursuits, he has navigated challenges and embraced learning opportunities throughout his journey.

In 1977, Mr. Utvich joined the Writer's Guild of America, the union of screenwriters, after completing a script assignment with a Guild signatory. Thus, at the age of 27, he was in one of the greatest communities of creative writers in the world, where he found partnerships and friends that would help him build his independent career.

At a Writer's Guild event, a guest introduced him to the name and contact of William Gladstone of Waterside Productions, the leading technology book agent in the U.S. As a result, Michael obtained a book contract within less than a week for his work with Xerox Desktop Publishing with Bantam Doubleday, Dell. That book, The Ventura Publisher Solutions Book, would go on to win a national award, and Michael continued to write an unbroken series of books on technology and business for the next 20+ years with publishers including John Wiley & Sons Inc., Springer Nature, Penguin Random House, and McGraw Hill, as well as independent titles, direct to Amazon and Apple.

He has remained an active member of the Writers Guild of America for 40 years.

Mr. Utvich's storied career began with work as a consultant in high technology product launches for Fortune 100 companies such as Xerox, IBM, and Sun Microsystems. His initial projects occurred at Morehead and Company from 1983 to 1989, FLI from 1989 to 1998, The Pacific Group from 1991 to 1995, and Maritz Holdings Inc. from 1992 to 1996. His involvement with Xerox, IBM, Northern Telecom, and Sun Microsystems as an independent consultant for major product launches further highlights his extensive experience in the industry.

Mr. Utvich's career is marked by a series of significant roles that have shaped his professional journey. Since 2001, he has served as a senior consultant at Haig Barrett Management Consultants in Los Angeles. Over a 20-year period at Haig Barrett, Michael worked with a wide variety of corporate clients, including Toyota Motors, US, Albemarle Chemical (Baton Rouge), TetraTec (Houston), EuroMechanical (Abu Dhabi), Barrick Gold (Toronto), Hatch Engineering (Toronto) and many others. To deal with the strategic and leadership challenges of this wide range of consulting challenges, Michael developed a means of communicating and distilling complex information for executives and teams through infographics. His expertise in this area has led to the creation of approximately 300 infographics using tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.

In addition to his current roles, Mr. Utvich was a managing partner at Genius Stone, a consulting venture working with a senior consultant, Paul David Walker, from 2009 to 2017. He also contributed his expertise as a senior consultant at Focus Creative, writing corporate videos from 1995 to 2004 for CEO Robert Grossman. At Ogilvy Public Relations, Michael worked on product launches for offshore high-technology ventures from 1996 to 2002.

Michael's academic contributions began at UCLA Extension from 1996 to 2001, where he proposed an innovative course on "Writing for Interactive Media" only a few years after the debut of the World Wide Web. The course met with large-scale responses from students, many of whom were entertainment industry professionals. Michael developed two more related courses to the original – Parts 2 and 3 – for a three-course rotation covering all aspects of Content and Writing for the Web.

Michael was asked by other institutions to teach variations on the initial "Writing for Multimedia" course material. First, he served as an adjunct professor at the American Film Institute with a course tailored to performing arts professionals. In 1996, The University of Southern California School of Cinema & Television selected Michael to design and teach a Graduate Fellowship on Content Development for Interactive Media sponsored by Paramount Digital Entertainment to share his knowledge across five institutions.

In 2004, the director of the University of Cologne, Germany School of Media selected work from Michael's "Writing for Multimedia" courses at UCLA to be included in Interactive Dramaturgies, New Approaches in Multimedia Content and Design, an all-color book, published by Springer, Frankfurt, featuring the work of the leading multimedia artists, innovators technologists and creative leaders around the globe. Michael's selection was a student assignment in which he taught students "spatial storytelling" to imagine their life story in a 3D-like walk-through akin to a museum, including architecture, space, images, and soundscapes.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Utvich is actively involved in civic-minded organizations and local charitable groups. His decades of service have been highlighted through multiple accolades, including the Best Project of the Year Award from the International Society for Performance and Instruction (ISPI), an association of instructional design professionals, and other recognitions.

In his personal life, Mr. Utvich enjoys spending quality time with his family and exploring meditation, work in consciousness, and groups such as Mastery Circle Los Angeles. With over two decades of teaching experience across five educational institutions, he aims to transform some dynamic materials developed for his University courses into published works while engaging in book contracts and consulting opportunities. He remains passionate about exploring creative solutions that balance technology with personal insight in the quickly evolving modern-day landscape.
