Hailing from over two decades of experience in corporate accounting and finance, Mr. Dang currently serves as the Controller at AlerisLife. In his role, he is responsible for handling the operational accounting aspects of decision making, financial statement reporting and financial analysis. He reports directly to the chief executive officer and plays a crucial role as a finance partner in acquiring and selling senior living communities and cash flow forecasting. Leading a team of 30 accountants, he assists with debt management, oversees new business practices and provides finance leadership to all communities for billing, collections, and office manager support.

Prior to beginning his role at AlerisLife, Mr. Dang was the head of forecast and attribution at MassMutual from 2018 to 2024. During his tenure, he was based in the Boston office and navigated the unique challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. He initially joined MassMutual as the controller for the company's subsidiaries, where he was in charge of accounting and approving financial results. Ascending through the organization, he later took over the consolidated forecasting process and ultimately led the reporting workstream for the financial systems transformation project.

From 2013 to 2018, Mr. Dang served as the vice president of finance at Global Atlantic, where he was responsible for the company's annual budget of more than $700 million. Before that, he was an assistant vice president at Goldman Sachs Reinsurance Group from 2006 to 2013. He began his career at PwC as a senior associate from 2001 to 2004 before moving on to Liberty Mutual as a senior internal auditor from 2005 to 2006.

Mr. Dang attributes much of his success to his education and the doors it has opened throughout his career. In 2013, he earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society. Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor of Science in accounting, economics and business at Babson College. As a certified public accountant, he values lifelong learning and actively maintains his professional license.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Dang is known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen. A former baseball player and current softball player, he continues to share his passion with future generations as a board member with the Lexington Little League and plays dual role of commissioner for one of the softball leagues and head coach in another.

Outside of his career, Mr. Dang enjoys traveling and making cherished memories with his wife and their two daughters. Looking to the future, he intends to continue growing AlerisLife while taking on additional responsibilities within the company. His long-term goal is to become a chief financial officer, leveraging his extensive experience in accounting and finance to continue overcoming challenges within the retirement community sector.
