NEW YORK, NY, April 18, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In a city known for its grit, culture, and relentless energy, New York native Sebastian Chacon is carving out a path that's both deeply personal and broadly impactful. The actor and entrepreneur—best known for his standout role as Warren Rojas in Daisy Jones and the Six—is using his platform to elevate Latino voices, style, and stories, redefining what it means to be both a performer and a community advocate.
Chacon, a lifelong New Yorker and proud Latino, made headlines with Daisy Jones and the Six not only for his electric performance but also for his behind-the-scenes influence. Originally cast as Warren Rhodes, Chacon approached the show's creators with a thoughtful suggestion: reimagine the character as Warren Rojas, incorporating a Latino identity that had long been underrepresented in period rock narratives.
"Warren wasn't written Latino," Chacon explains, "but I saw an opportunity to bring something more to him. I wanted him to feel like someone I knew, someone from my neighborhood. I wanted to bring my people with me into that world." That subtle shift—from Rhodes to Rojas—signaled something larger: a growing cultural wave, and Chacon's central role in it.
MASOMENOS: Fashion with Purpose
Chacon's commitment to his heritage goes beyond the screen. His boutique, MASOMENOS, nestled in the heart of Manhattan's Chinatown, is a celebration of Latino artistry. The store exclusively stocks clothing and accessories crafted by independent Latino designers, providing a rare platform for creatives whose work is often overlooked in mainstream fashion.
"For years, anytime I had a stylist or a budget for a shoot or a red carpet, I'd ask them to ditch the European labels," Chacon says. "I always wanted to wear stuff by Latino designers, but it was hard to find. MASOMENOS was born out of that frustration—and out of pride." MASOMENOS isn't just a store—it's a statement. Chacon frequently wears pieces from the boutique at public events, interviews, and on his social media, promoting the brand and the designers behind it with the same passion he brings to his acting. In a celebrity culture driven by high fashion endorsements, Chacon's commitment to community-first fashion is a refreshing and intentional act of solidarity.
Bravado Pictures and Hermanos
Determined to shape the narrative in every medium, Chacon has also launched Bravado Pictures, a production company he co-founded with his brothers. The company's debut project, Hermanos, is already creating buzz. Written by Chacon himself, the film follows the lives of an Ecuadorian family living in Brooklyn—drawing heavily from the actor's own experiences and environment.
"I wanted to make something real, something I hadn't seen before," Chacon says of the screenplay. "There are so many incredible Latino stories that never make it to screen, and I think that's because they're not being written by us, or directed by us, or funded by us. Hermanos is a way to change that—starting with our own story."
Currently in pre-production, Hermanos is a deeply personal project for the Chacon family. Shot in familiar streets and drawing from conversations, challenges, and cultural nuances rarely captured in American cinema, the film promises to be a vital addition to the growing body of independent Latino-led storytelling.
NO PARKING: A Podcast Born in Bushwick
As if balancing acting, fashion, and film weren't enough, Chacon is also co-creating and co-hosting a podcast with his brother Kevin called NO PARKING. Recorded out of their makeshift studio—a dilapidated garage in Bushwick—the show captures the unfiltered pulse of New York City life with humor, heart, and honesty.
"It's raw," Chacon laughs. "We're practically on the sidewalk. You can hear sirens, people yelling, bikes crashing… and somehow, that chaos makes the show what it is. It feels alive. It feels like the city."
NO PARKING isn't just a casual side project—it's another way Chacon is building community and creating space for underrepresented voices. Through conversations that range from art to activism, food to film, the podcast embraces a messier, more human approach to storytelling.
The Bigger Picture
While many actors ride the wave of Hollywood success, Chacon is building something deeper—an ecosystem of art, fashion, film, and culture rooted in representation and authenticity. Whether it's mentoring emerging Latino designers, crafting characters with cultural resonance, or offering platforms to unheard voices, his work is driven by a desire to amplify those historically pushed to the margins.
But for Chacon, it's not about accolades or attention—it's about legacy. "There's a generation of kids growing up right now who've never seen themselves in the media they consume. I want them to know that their stories matter. Their voices matter." That ethos runs through everything Chacon touches—and it's striking a chord. From Daisy Jones fans applauding his creative input to fashion lovers discovering MASOMENOS for the first time, Chacon's work resonates because it's personal. It's grounded in real people, real streets, and real love for his culture.
Staying Grounded in a City That Never Sleeps
Despite the whirlwind of projects, Chacon remains deeply grounded in his New York roots. He still lives in the city that raised him, still walks the same blocks that shaped his identity, and still draws inspiration from the rhythms and contradictions of life in the five boroughs. Asked how he manages to stay focused while juggling so much, Chacon is quick to shrug off the idea of perfection.
"I don't have a strategy," he says. "I just make things I wish already existed. I try to work with people I think are cool. That's it." It's a refreshingly honest approach—and one that's clearly working.
What's Next?
With Hermanos moving into production, MASOMENOS gaining a cult following, and NO PARKING growing in listenership, Chacon shows no signs of slowing down. He's already brainstorming new projects, collaborations, and ways to give back, and his fans—both old and new—are watching closely.
In an industry often accused of surface-level diversity and tokenism, Sebastian Chacon is offering a different model: one built on action, authenticity, and a deep, unshakable pride in where he comes from.
