The pursuit of academic excellence prompted Ms. Johnson to complete a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College in 1959. Encouraged by Dr. Agnes Larson, a respected professor, she applied to the Harvard-Radcliffe Program in Business Administration in 1960. She was humbled to be one of the first women from Minnesota ever accepted. Ms. Johnson completed her education with a Master of Arts from the University of Minnesota in 1969. Ms. Johnson is also an accomplished author and published "The Only Woman in the Room" in 2023, a work that reflects her insights as a trailblazer for women in business and offers inspiration to future generations of female leaders. Beyond her professional and creative endeavors, she remains engaged in civic activities and cultural initiatives as the sponsor of a classical music series and a supporter of both the Lutheran Church and the Harvard Book Award.
