Mr. Harvey is a distinguished tax technical writer at Aprio, where he has been contributing his expertise since 2024. With a career spanning more than 15 years, he has honed his skills in tax research and training materials, earning recognition for his proficiency in these areas. At Aprio, he plays a crucial role in protecting the firm internally by handling risk management and creating memos to support various initiatives, including those related to cryptocurrency. His dedication to ensuring accuracy and compliance is exemplified by a notable occurrence when he identified potential legal risks in a memo written using AI and effectively communicated these concerns to the CEO.

Before his current role, Mr. Harvey served as a manager at Aprio from 2021 to 2024, where he was instrumental in guiding the team through complex tax scenarios. Prior to this, he was a tax manager at LVMH from 2020 to 2021 after completing a three-year tenure as an account manager at Wurdemann, Pinto & Co. LLC, where he developed strong client relationships and provided strategic tax advice.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Harvey served as a tax senior at Equinox from 2015 to 2018 and a senior consultant at Deloitte for the preceding year. Previously, he worked as a tax associate at KPMG US from 2012 to 2014 after completing a one-year global rotation with KPMG Canada as a staff accountant. His career began at Lizza & Associates, where he contributed as an accountant from 2008 to 2012.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Harvey is an active member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. His educational background includes a Master of Science in professional accounting from Seton Hall University in 2012 and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Felician University in 2011. He also holds the certification Excel 2016: Introduction to Formulas and Functions from LinkedIn and is a certified public accountant.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Harvey attributes much of his success to the guidance of great mentors, including a supportive professor and a close friend who will be his best man at his upcoming wedding. His motivation stems from personal experiences during his youth when he aspired to help his mother escape an abusive situation by obtaining a lucrative career. When a CPA spoke in one of his high school classes, he was inspired to pursue accounting and subsequently transitioned to training others.

Outside of his career, Mr. Harvey is civically engaged as a volunteer for local cemetery clean-up drives and is a musician in a hard rock metal band. He also enjoys participating in marathons and has a passion for music, particularly hard rock and metal.

Looking ahead, Mr. Harvey plans to enhance his technical knowledge by delving deeper into partnership taxation and other subjects over the next several years and plans to continue his dedication to mentoring his staff and colleagues. He is also preparing for an exciting personal milestone as he plans to marry in August 2025.
