Ms. Melzer has also secured distinct industry certifications as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist through Health and Human Services, which further reflects her passion for patient advocacy and continuous learning.

Ms. Melzer attributes her success to a combination of luck and prayer, which she believes have guided her throughout her career. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she has been actively involved in organizations such as the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Greater Regional Health Auxiliary, which demonstrates her commitment to community engagement and productive networking. Additionally, Ms. Melzer serves on the board of Trinity Lutheran Church.

To achieve balance, Ms. Melzer enjoys fishing, embroidery, crafting and woodworking. Looking toward the future, she plans to reconnect with her family and friends and establish a booth in the local farmers market to showcase her craft work. Ms. Melzer also intends to enjoy retirement by seeing through some projects, such as building a patio with raised flower beds and investing in upgrades to her home.
