After turning down the contract, he enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam war, serving for three years and participating in the major assault on the Mekong River Delta and other defensive operations.

After his military service, Mr. Cutler earned a bachelor's degree in audiology and speech-language pathology with a minor in psychology from California State University, Northridge. His academic background has provided him with a strong foundation in communication skills, which have been invaluable throughout his career as an actor, voice-over artist and educator. He also worked at the VA Center in the San Fernando Valley, providing re-socialization therapy for veterans from the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

In addition to his work at the studio, Mr. Cutler has an extensive history in film, television and radio. He has appeared in numerous productions, including "Knight Rider," "The Fall Guy," "Quincy M.E.," and "Mork & Mindy." He has also served as an executive producer and director for various projects, such as "Slice of Life" and "My One and Only." Additionally, he has been recognized with the Best Acting Studio in Burbank award for two consecutive years and served as lead singer with The New Christy Minstrels. He is also proud of serving on a series called "The Secrets of Isis," which was the first live-action television show featuring a female superhero.
