Dr. Menga is a distinguished physician and professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine, where he has been serving since 2024. With a specialization in spine care, he dedicates his time to performing spinal surgeries and providing comprehensive care to patients. Dr. Menga's expertise extends to complex spinal reconstruction and trauma surgery, making him a highly respected figure in the field. As the vice chair of education, he oversees the residency program, guiding 35 residents in their journey to becoming orthopedic surgeons. Additionally, Dr. Menga mentors students at various educational levels and shares his knowledge through lectures at national and international conferences.

Before his current position in Miami, Dr. Menga served as the division chief of spine surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center from 2023 to 2024. He also served as an orthopedic spinal surgeon and associate professor of orthopedics and neurosurgery between 2021 and 2024. Dr. Menga's leadership extended to roles such as associate program director for the orthopedic residency and director of the Louis A. Goldstein Spine Surgery Fellowship Program from 2020 to 2023. Earlier, he achieved success as an assistant professor of orthopedics at the University of Rochester Medical Center between 2017 and 2020 and at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio from 2015 to 2017.

Dr. Menga's journey in medicine began after earning a dual Bachelor of Science in biology from Old Dominion University and Norfolk State University in 2003. Subsequently, he completed a post-baccalaureate program at the University of Buffalo, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2009. Additional educational pursuits to Dr. Menga's credit include a residency in orthopedic surgery at Johns Hopkins University in 2014 and a fellowship in spinal surgery at New York University in 2015.

Beyond his primary work endeavors, Dr. Menga has served as a resident liaison for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons since 2013 and as an assistant team physician for both Johns Hopkins University Athletics and the Baltimore Orioles. He has also maintained his commitment to global health, as evidenced by his mission work in Cameroon and Jamaica, where he performs life-changing surgeries for underserved populations. His dedication to these communities is further exemplified by his involvement with organizations such as AO Spine North America and Back To Healing. Dr. Menga is also a fellow of several prestigious societies, including the Scoliosis Research Society, the American Orthopedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society and the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Menga's contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Frank L. Coulson Jr. Award for Clinical Excellence from Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2014, as well as multiple accolades from the North American Spine Society.

Born in Cameroon, Dr. Menga plans to expand the ZacRose Menga Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization he founded, and develop a regional hospital specializing in orthopedic care in his native country, reflecting his enduring commitment to improving health care access for underserved communities worldwide.
