Dr. Edwards attributes much of his success to the robust education he received during his elementary and high school years and to his strong faith in God and Jesus Christ.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Edwards has been actively involved in civic organizations. He served as president of the Kiwanis Club and was honored with the Hixson Fellowship Award by Kiwanis International. As a donor, he supports Friends of Israel, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, animal rescues, and his local church. His literary contributions include several published works such as "Lips," "The Mystery of Melissa's First Date: Book One," and "Dawn."

Outside his professional life, Dr. Edwards enjoys photography, sculpting, reading and spending time with nature on trails he has built on his expansive property, which exceeds 100 acres. Additionally, he has earned a private pilot's license and a scuba diving license, allowing him to enjoy flying among the clouds and swimming among marine life. He values time spent with his wife, Vivian, his five sisters and friends.
